I heard a story 8 years ago. It was so powerful that it stayed with me for years to come. One day, I said to myself, I would make a film of it.

Two years ago I started writing a script based on the story. I called it Honey. Today, Honey is in its final stages of development.

I set up this campaign because I thought it would be a good idea to select 3-4 scenes from the screenplay and shoot a 5 minute short piece based on them. I would then show this promotional material to those potentially interested in taking the script to the next level and making the feature.

The money set as goal will go exclusively towards production and post-production costs: for locations, catering, equipment and a small fee for my actors and crew. I have had interest from fellow film makers who would like to join me and shoot this teaser.

The story centers around Eva, a pediatrician in her mid-30s. She has a harmonious family and work life. She and her husband, Michel have a little daughter, Marie. Eva is pregnant with their second child. Then one day, the doctors discover that the baby is genetically ill. From that moment on, Eva goes through a torturous process: she has to decide whether to keep the baby or not. Friends and family give advice and guidance. In the end, she decides to keep the baby. Michel is not happy with her decision as he fears that the baby's (and consequently, the family's) life will be hell. He leaves Eva. Eva gives birth to her son, Noah. Noah is seriously ill. It's a miracle that he lives.

20 years later Noah is dying. Eva is confused and bitter. This is the moment when she meets a religious organization that offers her guidance. However, the organization might not be as innocent as it seems to be...
