The HotWave™ Water Heating Spray Nozzle was an idea that came directly from listening to homeowners. They needed a way to get hot water from their indoor faucet to their outdoor needs— washing cars and windows, bathing the dog, etc. We realized that rather than transferring hot water from inside to outside, the more efficient solution would be to heat water outside.

The RheemLabs™ team is a cross-functional group set out to innovate creative, new solutions to some of consumers’ biggest hot water challenges. With over 50 years of combined business experience, the team has expertise in fields including engineering, marketing, product management, sales, and more. The group leverages these strengths to holistically address problems and provide winning solutions to consumers, enabling transformative hot water experiences for all.

OUR PROCESS

We start with market evaluation, exploring consumers’ and professionals’ pain points—the inefficiencies and inconveniences they deal with day-to-day—and looking for ways we can address them. We then go through agile development to find the best solution that’s the right fit. Once we have a solution we think works, we build a small-batch manufactured prototype. From there, we test and learn, gathering invaluable feedback by working with real users. If we nailed it, we can launch full scale. If there are things we could do better, we can go back and tweak our solution.
