How Far We've Come
"A few months ago, people started dropping dead for unknown reasons. The bodies quickly went cold and so did the hearts of their loved ones. As time passed more and more people died until the world’s population was left to 100 lucky people. Four of these people are teenagers in the little town of Aeron Peaks. The four walk the town on the predicted last day of the human race, dealing with terror, grief and fear.
Nadya has been plagued with depression since the apocalypse began. With her parents dead, she takes all her problems out on her peaceful brother, Kasey. She walks the corpse lined streets with tears in her eyes. As her last day draws on she finds that watching the last few people collapse on the ground is bringing her into insanity.
Connie thought she’d accepted the inevitable until she tries to realize her last wish- telling her crush how she feels. She spends the day with Ari (a male character) and his loud fears have made her more nervous than she realized. And though she’s happy to have made him brave, she’s now scared to lose him.
Kasey hasn’t let this disaster affect him. He holds himself strong for his younger sister. He feels grief for everyone who has died, except his parents. Kasey spends his day putting flowers on the deceased while realizing that no one has tried to stay strong for him. Looking strong but feeling vulnerable, Kasey clasps his parents hands together in death."
You can make this possible!
We're set to begin filming in June 2013, spanning locations from Anchorage, AK to Albuquerque, NM. The movie should be out the latter part of summer, releasing in August or September.
You have the power to make this film come true, and give all the people invovled a summer to remember, and a career to embrace, should we get this into a film festival. Even one dollar is GREATLY appriciated, as every dollar you give, helps fund this movie to its full potential.
What We We're Gonna Need
The money we earn for the film will go toward the following:
Cameras: We're determined to get you the best quality film we can create, and our current camera isn't exactly a great film making camera. The money will be spent to get us a festival worthy Nikon.
Food: Our production schedule calls for us to be filming a few days every week for about three to four weeks, and to ensure we can get everything going smoothly, and the fact our cast is human too, we'd love to feed them!
Audio: Without audio, a moving picture becomes a silent film. While they are equally as beautiful as modern day films, it's not what we're aiming for with this film. We need some sound equiptment, such as boom poles and recorders.
Lighting: An apocolypse is a strange sight, not that any of us have seen it before, but we'd imagine it'd be beautifully horrid. Nonetheless, we're going to need some lighting to help make this film come to life during any night scenes, or scenes that require special lighting.
Miscellaneous: Promotional material, Posters, Film Festival Fees and so on. These are the small things that help make the movie possible.
The Impact
As the film calls for teenagers, you can imagine our actors would be teenagers as well, which would mean the movie may be too amateur. This is not the case here, as we've got a cast of highly dedicated and talented indivisuals who actually care about what is produced. We have already, and will continue to put all of our combined efforts, working day and night non stop to produce this. This would be our last film together, before we all turn our seperate ways for college.
The movie recollects on so many things in life, making it different than an apocalyptic film with no backbone. We're aiming to touch your hearts, tickle your funny bone, and engrage every fiber you have with this film.
Your contribution doesn't only help fund the movie, it helps create paths for us. We plan on submitting this to film festivals, and that could possibly create a career. Parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles will be so happy with what their family was a part of, and it's all because you took the time and money to help fund and create this film.
Other Ways You Can Help
We understand you may not be able to contribute due to finanical issues, or other circumstances. Not to worry, as your interest is more than enough for us! You could help by sharing the link over Facebook and Twitter, or spreading our movie by telling your friends about it.
