HELLO WORLD!
Well, it is free to say that here but although we have succesfully shot and completed our film, we still cannot send it out to the world. The festival submission fees are devastating if you are a mass sender, which you have to be, and have no sponsor.
What HUNGER is about...
Despite the pitch video above, Hunger is a Drama / Thriller short film. It is 2 minutes long and all the reactions seen on the video are real. As I could not have shown the film itself (due to general festival regulations), I decided to show you how it made people feel. Writing a storyline without revealing anything for a 2min. film is not easy, yet this is our logline:
"Round of a deadly game played by a family of four, where no one seems to have ever existed..."

Why we need help...
This film is completely independent from any production companies, sponsors or any other third party that might interfere with our decisions on the film. That is why, it is shot with a very low-budget (~$1500), volunteering cast & crew.
Now all the post-production completed, it is time to submit the film to festivals. And that is the part with low-budget confliction! As mentioned in the video above, we will be needing around $2500 to submit, ship and print the copies of our film for around 50 festivals. That might sound a lot but for a mighty project as this, it is normal. We even expect some fee waivers after a certain amount of screenings, but it is early to tell yet.
For now, we need each and every dollar we can get. You think contributing $5 would be worthless? Even that would mean a lot for us...
Director's Statement
This film had been waiting to be shot for almost 10 years now, before I even knew I would be chasing a career as a filmmaker. Yet, I am glad that I could be patient enough to hold onto such a project and not waste it at an earlier stage. After some years in film making, I finally thought it was time for a serious debut so I gathered my crew (which also happen to be my friends/classmates/instructors) as soon as I had the opportunity to cover the modest budget. I believe it all turned out well and gave me further motivation of carrying on with my career.
Thanks in advance, for helping. And that doesn't only mean contributions... You may not be able to contribute, but that doesn't mean you can't help. I'd appreciate even if you could share this page with your friends, colleagues, family, etc.
