Hey guys!
I've been working on this show for a while, and I'm excited to share it with all of you. I've been studying and honing my skillz at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York for about 5 years now.
I come from a math background. It was a huge departure for me to toss my Economics degree aside and pursue an acting career. I hope, in the long run, to be writing and producing smart, creative work that conveys a positive social message.
And that's how Ilyana Saves The World was born. Ilyana is a play about a nerdy mathlete who gets picked on in high school...but realizes she has the power to change the world.
From start to finish, this production has taken about a year to put together, including: running sketches at late-night shows, writing and rewriting with directors, casting, rehearsing, and producing the show.

What What We Need
We could use help with:
Production costs - $3000 (room rentals, directors fees, costumes, props, lighting rental, video editing, photography, photo editing, animation)
Promotion - $1500-2000 (poster design/printing, mailing, web design, press kit)
Any money raised over production and promotion costs will be donated to a math-related charity.
The Impact
I've always loved superhero stories because I think they speak to people who feel outcast and empower them. This play means a lot to me, and I hope the story will mean a lot to anyone else who grew up as "nerdy," or anyone who feels like they don't have the power to change their situation.
