Six years later (and at least as many rewrites) Imaginary Friends found its true voice as a short film. A funny, sweet and unique short film.
A year ago Tara introduced Jason C. Brown to Imaginary Friends and it was love at first sight. Jason immediately staked his claim, offering his first born child for the right to direct this little gem. While very talented, Natalie and Tara are horrible poker players and quickly lost the rights to Jason's first born... but that is a story for another day.
How much of the above is true? There is a movie, Natalie and Tara wrote it, Jason is directing it, and it is their baby. Now we... I mean they... I'm sorry, this third person stuff confuses us... We need your help to bring Imaginary Friends to life. We have a fantastic script, some amazing talent lined up, and the passion, the will and the determination to make this film amazing!

The Plot: Who Are What is Imaginary Friends?
Without giving too much away...
Violet (played by Natalie Lynch) is an impetuous young woman with a laundry list of petty problems in her life. Her issues are pretty ordinary. She dislikes her job, her relationship is on the rocks, oh, and she has an imaginary friend whom she has absolutely nothing in common with.
Imaginary Friends actually follows the life of Toogie, an imaginary friend assigned to Violet, as he struggles to deal with his imaginary friendship with Violet and his real friendship with other imaginary friends. Yeah... there are other imaginary friends. You didn't think he was the only one did you?
This unlikely pair seeks help from Violet's therapist, Dr. Skochine (played by Tara Jayn) who, while well intentioned, is ill-equipped to deal with this type of couples therapy.
That is really as far as we can go without ruining the story for you. We know, it's not a lot... but trust us, its better this way.
The Budget: Dun Dun Dunnn
Cast+ Crew+ Equipment+ Permits+ Locations+ Costumes+ Fees= $$$$
"Okay, I'm in! I want to help make magic. But where exactly is my money going?"
We are so glad you asked because Tara made an adorable pie chart and we would hate to see her artwork go to waste.

The Team: Getting To Know You
Natalie Lynch (Violet)- Natalie is the co-writer and creator of Imaginary Friends. She is an actress, sometimes writer, sometimes producer and sometimes costumer. Pretty much she's just a push over. She also created and produces the very successful LA-based stage show, A Drinking Game.
Tara Jayn (Dr. Susan Skochine)- Tara is the other co-writer and creator of Imaginary Friends. An actor that turned to producing when she and Natalie just couldn't stop having great ideas that needed to get made. She has also produced the web series Social Medium (HollyWeb Fest Official Selection) and the short film Room 313. You might have seen her face on Parks and Recreation if you didn't blink.
Jason C. Brown (Director)- Jason has worked in the film and television business in Los Angeles for the last 10 years on such feature films as Avatar and The Adventures of Tintin. He has worked in the Directors Guild of America for the last five years mostly in television, on such shows as Medium, CSI:NY and Awkward. He began directing while still living in Ohio on a short film titled "Dogs Best Friend" and is anxious to being filming Imaginary Friends!!!
