Who am I?
Hi, my name is Luke Hermann. I'm one of five boys that were extremely lucky to have parents that valued music in our home and showed us it's importance in everyday life. After taking piano lessons for close to 9 years and learning the guitar, I began to fall in love with music all the more! You couldn't keep me away from an instrument. Since the age of twelve, I have been composing my own music and sharing it with those that know me well. At the age of 21, I married the girl of my dreams and finally realized what it meant to become one with another person. To share a life... and to create life. I get most of my inspiration from my two lovelies: my wife of almost 2 years and my almost-6 month-old Piper. My brain works like a musical camera and takes mental images and snapshots of songs and plays them back as if I have my own personal life soundtrack. Life would be so boring without music to accompany it.

The sound is energetically elegant as it echoes life’s highest mountains and deepest valleys. Who will be on the album?
The talent on this project means a lot to me. I’m proud to be working with my wife and best friend, Sarah and the amazingly gifted musician, Andrew Bergthold. The album is being recorded, produced, and mixed by Andrew at “The Farm” down in Nashville, TN.

Where are we at with the project?
The album is completely written and ready to be recorded. There will be five songs on the album and each focuses on a different aspect of the human condition: existence, desire, finality, choice, and loss. Please join in the effort to get this project recorded, released, and into the hands and ears of as many people as possible. Everything is on schedule to go to "The Farm" and record this album in early December 2015 which puts the project at a release date of March 15th. Promotional costs for "in darkness." are included in the campaign as well.

What have I been up to?
When I am not providing for my family (as a Pediatric Burn Nurse) or letting my creative juices flow while writing music, you can find me at a local coffee shop, the library, or the lake with my lovely little family. My wife and I love being outdoors and our favorite place is this big rock by the lake shore in our hometown. Late at night under the stars you can just feel the enormity of life in the universe. It's such a humbling experience and one that I hope is conveyed through this music project.
What it all boils down to:
The real purpose of this project is about sharing the heart and hope of redemption. To show that there is light in the darkness... That the shadows prove the sunshine. We are so excited for the chance to partner with you for the resources needed for production. It is only with your help that this can become a reality.
The risks and challenges are almost non-existent while the potential of this project is so exciting. My goal is to inspire others and to push them to go and create art of their own... whatever it may be. I believe we were created fearfully and wonderfully with an innate desire to enjoy and create beauty with the kaleidoscope of gifts that we've been given. We are responsible to fulfill our potential and I hope that my music will inspire others to do that. I hope that the heart of these songs has the chance to impact many. Please help make this happen.
