In The Light, A Faustian Tale is an original musical inspired by the classic Faust legend.

A full-length concept recording.

This concept recording will be an opportunity to share In The Light with those who have supported it for so long and introduce the show to a whole new audience.  

Over the past year, the music and story have come together in a powerful way, making it the perfect time to record this score.

This recording will be an essential step in bringing the project closer to its ultimate goal: a fully-fledged stage production.

Theatre is the ultimate collaborative medium.

There are so many people who work behind the scenes to make theatre happen and an album like this is no exception.

We have a dream list of top-of-the-line collaborators already committed to this project, including TONY and Grammy Award Nominee Jeremy Jordan as our titular character and Drama Desk Nominee Kim Scharnberg as the show's orchestrator. In the coming months we will be announcing the rest of our cast and team. 

Now we just need to find a way to pay all these incredible artists!

Show Background and History.

Composer/ lyricist Michael Mott began writing Faustus, A Musical when he was a senior in high school with book writer, Justin Silvestri. In 2015, with the addition of book writer Nathan Wright, Faustus, A Musical  became In The Light, A Faustian Tale.  

We have had many wonderful opportunities to continue developing In The Light,  including an industry reading in NYC earlier this year featuring TONY Nominee Jeremy Jordan and many other Broadway talents.
