The Campaign...

"INSENTIENT" has been a work in progress for some time now, a few years to be exact. Originally it was titled "The Death of a Frozen Heart" and at that time, it was nothing more than a short story written and put aside.

Of course many of you have already heard that writing is rewriting, so it should not surprise you that this short story was eventually picked up and expanded into a longer story, which has now been turned into a screenplay. 

So what now? Well, after graduating from the University of Maryland with an English Literature degree this past May, I finally have the time to bring this story to life and make a short film that will reach millions of individuals. 

For those of you who know me well, you know that I will stop at nothing to make this happen because I believe that there are no limits to what one can achieve in life.

For those of you who do not know me that well, my promise to you is this: With your help and support, I will make this happen sooner than planned. You WILL NOT be disappointed.  

With all of your help and continued support, this story WILL come to life and we WILL reach our goal. 

The Story...

“INSENTIENT” is a drama/thriller about a man who has lost everything and desperately seeks to find a way to reverse his financial setback while helping his older brother regain what was taken from him. 

After giving them everything he has, MARTY is laid off as a writer from a local newspaper company. With having no income and his bills piling up one by one, he is forced to realize that there are no pauses in this game of life. He knows that if he does not find a way to reverse his financial setback, he may end up like his mother, living paycheck to paycheck or even like his father, drowning his sorrows in alcohol. 

Then there is STAN, Marty’s older brother who lives a life that has no boundaries and makes a living off of anything he can get his hands on. Many years back, he fell for a woman that had a special place in his life. Blinded by love, he went out of his way to satisfy this creature of perfection. This woman, whose beauty is unparalleled, had a possessive quality over him, which made it clear from the start that his heart was hers to keep. 

Given Marty’s situation, Stan offers his younger brother a deal. He offers to help Marty reverse his financial setback as long as he helps him get back what the woman has taken from him. Knowing Stan’s way of living, Marty knows that helping his older brother means taking a risk, a risk he finds necessary in order to have his life back.  

“INSENTIENT” tells the story of a broken bond between the past and the present. It follows a man who is desperately clinging onto the past while trying to grasp the concept that the way things were, will never be the way things are or going to be in the future.
