{Director's Statement}

Interiority is a film that was born when someone gifted me a book about artworks centered on the home. Reading about how so many artists brought the internal world into the external world through film, installation, painting, etc, I was inspired to join them. I have always been interested in the mundane, everyday tasks that we all engage in but are never the focus of stories. So much of our lives and formative experiences take place in the home, and for me, my homes are the backbone of everything else I do. Interiority is a film that allows the audience to spend time with a couple of people who are just doing, at home, and to reflect on the role their own domestic spaces and tasks play in their lives. The film is self-reflexive and makes comments on how film as an observational tool changes how we view and experience home situations, and makes the viewer aware of how the film is manipulating their perspective. I want people to walk away from it feeling appreciation for the act of sitting and allowing “nothing” to happen, and a greater appreciation for the banal.

{Budget Breakdown}

We've got the script and we've got the crew -- now it's time to make this project reality! Here's what your contribution will be put towards:

  • Actors
  • Craft Services for Cast and Crew
  • Digitizing Film

{The Impact}

We are so excited to bring this vision to life! This will be Writer and Director Taylor Teusch's final project before graduating from Ithaca College. The rest of the crew will also be graduating this academic year meaning this may be one of the last times we get to work on such a great project.

Thank you again for taking the time to check out our project - more updates to come!
