This is us! We are Edoardo Centioni and Elia Fornari, we study Management and IT Management respectively. We have been friends since a long time and decided to create Ulocal together last year.  

For those of you who like videos, here's the story we would like to tell you about

Ulocal is the app for travelers and it's live. It's there already, you can download it from the App Store or Google Play and you can do that for FREE!

Once you're inside, you can find the Local people that make your case. Then, you can call them or chat with them, again, for FREE, to ask whatever travel info you would like to receive.

Are you still using TripAdvisor? Really?! Aren't you tired of looking at many long reviews, with your head down while you are probably walking by something beautiful? 

Ulocal wants to be better than TripAdvisor, by letting U  truly connect with the Local people of every city. Find who U need for the city you are visiting and for the category you are interested in.

Once you have found the right Local for you, call him! Calls are FREE between Ulocal users, from anywhere in the world (without sharing your number)! You can talk to someone who is going to give you his piece of advice and you can ask him basically anything. 

Connect with people, talk to people. Finally an app that is really social!

If you are a shy one, can't talk at the moment or just don't feel like it, you can still get your travel info from Locals. Drop them a message through the chat feature!

Don't forget to make Friends along the way or simply save your favorite Locals, who could help you in your next trip. 

Remember! On the other side, U can be a Local as well. Insert the city you can give advice on and the category you know best, fellow travelers will call you or drop you a message.

What are the categories? Food, Fun and Culture, but as Locals know them, not reviews.

Why do we need you?

While we have managed to start Ulocal with our own funds, we need to make people aware that a useful app like Ulocal is out there. We need not only travelers and locals but possibly everyone using a smartphone to know. The larger the user base, the more we are, the more useful Ulocal can be to us all. We want the most people possible to share advice and travel info for every city in the world and category.

We are really excited and believe Ulocal could be the best travel app out there. We hope you are excited too and would like to help us with...

Marketing

• We have contacted many travel bloggers already and would make their fellow readers know about Ulocal in their blogs
• We plan on doing some basic banner advertising on other apps by using platforms like Flurry

Upgrades

• Upgrade the SDKs we're using to the current iOS8, iPhone6 and XCode6 requirements 
• Update our graphics to iOS8 to deliver a much better user-experience to Ulocal travelers and locals.
  

Costs

The minimum we are asking you for these upgrade and to start some marketing is $10k. In this case though, more is definitely better and with more funding we could add many cool features that we have already planned and do so much more marketing.

First of all, we really hope you have liked Ulocal and find it valuable and useful to you, as a Traveler, a Local or both. 

Unfortunately we don't have a product to give you as a perk. But fortunately, Ulocal is FREE. So, what you can immediately get is Ulocal, by just downloading it for free from the App Store or Google Play.

Then, we have a few cool perks for you, that you'll hopefully find helpful both when you are or aren't traveling. 

*Reminder: our campaign is flexible. If we don't reach our goal, we'll evaluate if what we raised would be enough for some minimum advertising and app upgrading. If it's not, we'll refund you!
