Abstract

This wargame is set in the same science fantasy setting as my novels.  It's currently a promotional website.

By June 7, 2014, I want to implement:

  • A proper guest demo mode, to allow trying out the game without a proper account.  The first scenario in each of the three examples should be playable on or before June 7, 2014. 
  • Two of these scenarios are space combat; one is intantry combat.  The game is turn-based with planned moves.
  • A minimal "base command management" screen.
  • The non-playable factions need cameo pictures.  The site itself needs a proper HTML design.  Final-release artwork will not be attempted.

Fully storyboarding the two example campaigns would take months; that's not going to happen by June 7, 2014.  It is extremely unlikely that the game UI would be close to final form then.

Schedule for Deliverables

I plan to work on this part-time from the start of fundraising, to June 7 2014.  It should take that long (~3 weeks) to get a playable demo of the game up, and do minimal playtesting.

The game site does live on a leased, unmanaged, dedicated server.
