How does my child use the ISSA mikro?
Depending on their age, children can use the ISSA mikro by themselves or have an adult brush with them. The ISSA mikro has been designed with an ergonomic, lightweight handle so children's small hands can get a comfortable grip when using it by themselves. We recommend always having an adult supervise brushing routines.
- Press the center button once for Brush Mode and a second time for Massage Mode. Depending on your child's age, use with a dentist recommended amount of infant-formulated soothing gel or toothpaste.
- Use the same way as a manual toothbrush, and brush teeth and massage gums with wide, circular movements for two minutes.
- Press the center button a third time to turn off the device and rinse.

Does the ISSA mikro have a spinning brush head?
No, the ISSA mikro uses gentle pulsations instead of spinning action to gently yet effectively clean baby teeth and gums. It is designed to be used with the same circular movement used with a manual toothbrush.
Can babies chew on the ISSA mikro?
The ISSA mikro is made from safe, food-grade silicone that’s free of BPA and phthalates, plus its brush head is non-detachable. It is therefore safe for babies to chew on during their brushing routine; however, we recommend the ISSA mikro only be used as an oral-care device and not as a teething toy.
What is Sonic Pulse Technology and is it safe for babies and young children?
FOREO's Sonic Pulse Technology is essentially gentle vibrations that are completely safe for babies. The sensation feels pleasant and soothing on their teeth and gums. The ISSA mikro channels up to 6,000 gentle pulsations through the soft and flexible silicone per minute and has two speeds so you can also adjust the intensity to suit your baby’s needs and comfort level. We recommend you consult your dental-care professional before adding any new products to your child’s oral-care routine.
How do the Smile Helpers help track my child’s brushing?
The ISSA mikro has two Smile Helpers that appear when the center button is pressed to turn the device on. “Glee” (happy face) appears after 2 minutes of brushing and “Glum” (sad face) appears if your child hasn’t brushed in over 12 hours. “Glee” and “Glum” will both light up if your child hasn’t brushed for the full 2 minutes. The ISSA mikro also has an integrated timer that will lightly pulse to indicate when you should brush another quadrant of the month and to signify the end of the 2-minute brushing routine.
What clinical studies and safety tests have been done for the ISSA mikro?
In order to create the safest product for your children and ours, we’ve extensively tested the ISSA mikro. It is PVC-, phthalate-, latex-, and BPA-free. It has been tested by SGS, the largest product material company in the world. Its safety certifications include RoHS Compliant, CE Safety Mark, and IPX7 Protection. The device has also undergone extensive internal testing and clinical trials to confirm its ability to effectively clean teeth and massage gums.
How do I clean the ISSA mikro?
After each brushing routine, rinse the ISSA mikro with clean running water. The medical-grade silicone bristles prevents bacteria buildup allowing the ISSA mikro to stay clean and hygienic between uses!
For additional sterilization, the ISSA mikro can be washed in the dishwasher: using a maximum temperature setting of 80 degrees Celsius, use a 1-hour wash/rinse cycle and a 30-minute drying cycle. You can also use a baby bottle sterilizer with a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Celsius for a maximum of 20 minutes.
How often do I need to replace the ISSA mikro?
Because of its completely encased, one-piece design and hygienic silicone material, you never have to purchase a replacement brush head for the ISSA mikro. Plus, it has a long battery life: 1 hour of charging delivers approximately 8 months of use! After 5 years of age, your child can upgrade to the ISSA mini.
Can my child use ISSA mikro with toothpaste or a soothing gel?
Yes. Depending on your child's age, use with a dentist recommended amount of infant-formulated soothing gel or toothpaste. We do not recommend using tooth powder or products with bleachers with children.
Can my child use ISSA mikro if they have mouth ulcers, tooth decay, gum disease, or any other oral conditions?
We suggest that anyone who suffers from a serious oral condition should consult their dental-care professional before using an ISSA electric toothbrush.
What is the difference between all of the ISSA toothbrushes?
The ISSA is an adult electric toothbrush that has a 100% silicone-bristle brush head. It is perfect for those with gum recession or sensitivities.
The ISSA hybrid is an adult electric toothbrush that has PBT polymer bristles surrounded by silicone bristles. It’s perfect for those who prefer a more vigorous brushing, as well as a gentle gum massage. Although we are not offering the full ISSA hybrid toothbrush via our Indiegogo perks, we are including an ISSA hybrid brush head in select bundles so that those who purchase an ISSA can also try the hybrid technology!

When will I receive my perks?
Production for all orders received during our Indiegogo campaign (April 26th - June 24th) will be shipped from our warehouse at the end of July, customers can expect to receive shipments between end of July-early August. All orders placed during our In Demand phase (June 24th onwards) can expect to receive their products earliest end of July.
What is the Authenticity Card?
