prevalence of the world population.
This are very rare diseases; it is estimated to
affect one out of every 5.000 newborn or even less
In Angiopediatria team we've focused in this
types of diseases that affects children. This particular disease, occurs on
different components of the bloodstream can affect the arteries, veins or
lymphatic vessels. It can be in varying degrees since the birth of these
children. Affects the lymph vessels, therefore the lymph can no longer
circulate into the bloodstream and accumulates in a tissue, occupying the space
between muscles and skin. If is not removed it builds up and the body parts
overgrows.
