That’s why in 2018, our founder, Chloe Takahashi, started to curate the best J-beauty products with her friends and supporters to provide the best and innovative J-beauty products!
Since then, Cosme Hunt has grown rapidly with over 30,000 supporters in our community and we’ve been featured by so many famous beauty media giants such as Glossy, BeautyIndependent, and WWD.

We have built ourselves up to be a trusted source for J-beauty products and content directed to all beauty lovers. We made sure that all of the information can be accessed in one destination by publishing articles and reflecting our community’s voice. All products are carefully curated by our team of experts, and our curated products provide the best and innovative solution for you. We empower all people to feel beautiful in their own ways.

The minimalist nature of Japanese beauty regiments is especially beneficial to those who don’t want complex multi-step routines, desire a simple routine, and those with not a lot of time to themselves. 

However, we realized that some of our audience are still new to the J-beauty world and struggle to find somewhere to start. With a large number of requests, we decided to launch our discovery box.

As a growing niche in cosmetics, we want to make Japanese beauty more accessible and raise awareness about it through our monthly beauty box.  Our goal is to let the world know that Japanese cosmetics are for everyone, not just for those of Asian descent.

Since Cosme Hunt is growing J-beauty's recognition in the beauty world, we want to create a Japanese beauty discovery subscription box to allow for more accessibility and awareness for Japanese beauty brands. Creating custom packaging and marketing requires a lot more work than our usual E-commerce operation, and this is why we came to Indiegogo.

We work directly with brands in Japan to ensure we get genuine products to bring to the U.S., and we want to do the brands justice with the perfect packaging for this discovery box. The simple, yet effective ingredients that Japanese cosmetics use have been utilized for centuries and this innovation can be easily overlooked by overly cute packaging.

Our curated box, that'll contain 5 to 10 staple J-beauty products, will help you set foot into the J-beauty world without choosing unmatched products or getting overwhelmed by too many options.

We also provide a mix of full-sized and mini products in our boxes. We understand that it can be hard to finish a whole product in a month, so to reduce waste, we’re opting to do a mix of full and mini-sized products. In addition, we will cycle themes every month (skincare, makeup, body care, and wellness) so that the products overlap and there is less opportunity for waste.

We’ve also grown our community rapidly since 2018, and now it’s reaching 30,000 J-beauty lovers in the world.
