About Jake Clayton

Jake Clayton is a very rare entity in the music world. He has the ability to play over 20 Instruments, and he plays all of them extremely well. Starting with local bands in Missouri at a very young age, Jake was quickly lured away from the hometown scene to the professional world in Nashville, TN. Since then, he's been touring professionally in Country Music performing as a 'utility musician' and harmony vocalist for multiple Artists. In the past 8 years, Jake has toured on 3 major tours (including a date at the Madison Square Garden), he’s performed on the legendary Grand Ole Opry over 30 times, he's played on a chart-topping #1 song, he's appeared in two Top20 Country Music videos, and he's shown up on various shows on GAC, CMT, RFDTV, ZUUS Country, and more. Here's a few of Jake's latest accomplishments:

-performed multiple Instruments on the new release by ACM nominated, Sunny Sweeney (available in select Best Buy & Walmart stores).

-performed Cello & Violin on the #1 single, "If I Didn't Have You"  by Grammy nominated, ACM & CMA award winners,Thompson Square (available everywhere).

-performed & appears on the latest CD/DVD by Country Music duo, Joey & Rory (available in Walmart & Cracker Barrel stores, and shown on multiple TV networks)

-played fiddle on a song released on (Colt Ford's label) Average Joe's Ent:  'Mud Digger 5' compilation CD (available in select Walmart stores)

In 2011, Jake began his own career as a Recording Artist by releasing his debut Instrumental album, 'Barnyard Stomp'. Jake wrote most all of the material for the album and played nearly all of the Instruments on the recording. Music from 'Barnyard Stomp' has been used in multiple TV shows, and a video from the album was featured on CMT.com and several other video shows.

For the past couple of years (in-between touring, studio sessions, and a holiday ep release) Jake has been busy writing and recording his 2nd full-length release, this time recording an album that showcases his vocal abilities as well. Once again, not only did Jake write or co-write all of the songs on this album, he also played most of the Instruments on the recording too! The album, titled "By The Light of the Moon", is a collection of 10 songs that loosely fall in the Alt-Country Rock category. Mostly uptempo, the songs feature an array of Country & Roots Instruments mixed with rockin' guitars and aggressive drumming (featuring world-class drummer Troy Luccketta from the multi-platinum selling band, Tesla) to create a modern sound focused on originality and creativity. Top all of that off with Jake's dynamic vocals, precision harmonies, and unique songwriting to get something fresh, new, and ready to be heard!

We've been fortunate enough to secure the funds needed to record, duplicate, and release Jake's album. It will be manufactured and distributed. As a purchaser, there is no risk to you! You will get the album as soon as it's released and signed.
