Welcome to the Krokodil Chronicles!
As mentioned above, Krokodil Chronicles is the second feature-length film created by Quattro Venti Scott Productions. Our first feature, Post Mortem, America 2021, established our genre-bending vision within the horror community and was received with high acclaim. After reading about Krokodil and viewing several documentaries on the subject, we knew our next feature had to explore this taboo subject.
What is Krokodil?
Krokodil, known as 'the drug that eats its junkies', literally destroys the flesh of its users. Krokodil gets its name from the fact that the drug causes an addict’s skin to become discolored and scaly like that of a crocodile. In 2002, Krokodil appeared in Russia and set a new standard for the fast destruction of mind, body, and spirit. Its popularity skyrocketed as its high is stronger than heroin and much cheaper to make. It is common for addicts to develop gangrene and require amputations. The flesh on some body parts affected by krokodil injections will rot off completely, leaving bare bone. Withdrawal from krokodil has been described as "savage", with withdrawal symptoms lasting up to one month with the likelihood of permanent physical and neurological damage.
The Krokodil Chronicles:
This anthology tells four separate, but intertwined tales of Krokodil and the poor souls that cross its path. Each tale takes on the horrors of the drug in an unrelenting, depraved, and unique way and is connected with a truly wicked wraparound story. Let us provide some more information about the four segments:

Location, Location, Location!
We plan to film two chapters of the anthology at Ashmore Estates, located in Ashmore, Illinois. Ashmore Estates was originally built in 1916 and has operated as an almshouse and a private psychiatric hospital. It closed in 1986 and stood abandoned for several decades. Ashmore Estates gained notoriety as one of the most haunted buildings in central Illinois. Beginning in 2006, paranormal investigations and tours were offered and the location gained fame from the paranormal television shows Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters. We are excited to have them on board with this project!

Production Crew:
We have assembled some of the best and the brightest to help with production and post-production needs. We are proud to be bringing together Cameron Scott (Writer/Director), Patty Scott (Line Producer/Production Assistant), and Constance Medrano (Make up & Special Effects artist).

Crank up the Music!
We have already been in contact with those who will help us with our soundtrack and sound mixing. Nurse Hatchet and the Mixtress DemonatriX, curiomypretty, and Thomas Berdinski have already signed on to the project! We cannot wait to bring these segments to life with their music!

What We Need & What You Get
We have an amazing script. Talented cast. Dedicated Crew. Beautiful locations. Mesmerizing music. The only thing missing from making this film a reality is the budget. We are asking for $18,000 to fund all four anthology chapters and the wraparound segment. This will include actor's fees, special effects and make-up, location fees, travel and lodging costs, equipment rentals, craft services, and insurance fees. Moreover, this will also cover post-production and manufacturing costs. Should the campaign not reach its full goal, funds will be allocated to film as many of the chapters as the funds will allow. Should the campaign make MORE than what is requested, we have a number of ideas that would make the film even more incredible, including additional scenes, guest voiceovers, and increased production and post-production value. We hope to be able to discuss these "stretch goals" more as the campaign progresses!
If that's not enough bang for your buck, we are offering a myriad of perks beginning with as small of a donation as $5! Perks range from a social media shout out to a speaking role opposite of Robert LaSardo! Check out the perks and consider supporting Krokodil Chronicles!
Risks & Challenges
As with any of life's creative endeavors, there are always risks involved. We understand that sometimes 'life happens'; however, we have been working diligently to prepare for these scenarios within our control. Personal variables that may affect the shooting schedule may include inclement weather, personal illness, equipment malfunctions, and/or scheduling conflicts. The good news is that the assembled cast and crew are immeasurably talented, experienced, and dedicated. We have dealt with these issues numerous times professionally and without incident. We have spent a lot of time preparing for this film and we are ready to take on any challenges that come our way!
