Watch this video to hear what the primary school educator Pernille Nonved and the 3rd-grade student Archie Hollyhead had to say about their first meeting with KUBO.
Gunver Majgaard is an assistant professor in embodied systems for robotics and learning at The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute University of Southern Denmark. In this video, she describes how she thinks KUBO can benefit the learning process of children.

KUBO offers the richest and most simple tangible coding experience for kids by the introduction of the puzzle-based coding language called TagTiles.
With the coding package, we took the most important coding concepts, which are used in higher education, and made these concepts accessible for young children to learn by making the TagTile coding language real and concrete with strong affordances to exploration and learning-by-doing!
With the coding package children can learn:
algorithms learn computational thinking skills, such as processes, rules, and problem-solving
sequential thinking learn to form and follow a logical order or sequence
functions learn to define basic tasks using various commands, functions, and loops
nested functions learn to execute a function inside another function
recursive functions learn to make an infinite loop of commands
loops learn a way to repeat a piece of code a specified number of times
parameters learn to use numbers to define loops and speed
...and much more

Language and a strong vocabulary are precursors for any form of education! We've made a new and tangible way for children to practice spelling in a safe environment while having fun.
The language package comes with an app for iOS and Android, which connects to KUBO and gives the children entertaining ways of playing and practicing spelling while parents and teachers can follow the progression of the child, and learn how to enhance their learning.

The product
How much will KUBO cost in stores?
That's a really good question! Right now we're focusing on getting the product out to you guys, and then we'll establish a retail price for stores in collaboration with sales partners.
How big is Kubo?
In short:
The head: 54x54x32mm
The body (including the wheels): 65x70x55mm
Longer answer:
KUBO is built to be used in a regular classroom. Therefore, it has a size that enables children to use it on a class table.
What languages does the Kubo language pack come in?
KUBO officially supports English, but it is possible to define your own words, so you can use the pack for any language that uses the English alphabet.
Can KUBO be used for other subjects such as math and music?
YES! KUBO's modular structure enables it to be used for new applications. We're currently working on a new subject package for composing music and another for learning simple math operators.
Do I need to have any programming experience to be able to use Kubo?
Not at all! KUBO is actually a good tool to learn about coding at any age. We provide learning material that can help the child progress.
Can Kubo be used outside?
We do not recommend using KUBO outside, as rain and water might damage the robot. Perhaps on a sunny day on a table outside!?
How long is KUBO's battery life?
KUBO can be used for approx. 4 hours of continuous typical play.
How long does it take to charge KUBO?
It takes around 1 hour to do a full recharge.
For the buyers

We also have a contact page on our website.
What will you do if you don’t reach your Indiegogo goal?
One thing is for sure! We won't give up! After two years of research, we know that KUBO adds a unique value to learning through the tangible coding language, #TagTiles. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach their potential with tools like KUBO!
Where do you ship from?
We ship from Denmark, which is where we and our manufacturers are located.
When will Kubo ship?
We expect to deliver KUBO in June 2017. We can't wait!
Is there a warranty?
