Overview:
The video I'm hoping to release later this week is Part 2 of the Aunt Lauren video I published in September. Unfortunately the video was pirated 2 days later-- before I even made back half of the production cost. This fundraiser will offset a portion of the cost of releasing this (part 2) video in the current climate.
What We Need & What You Get
I'm excited to offer some perks to contributors. Please understand that the video is of an adult nature, and anyone contributing to the campaign is, by contributing, certifying that he is 18+ years old.
- If you're generous enough to contribute $50 or more, you will receive a copy of Part 2 of the video.
- If you contribute $100 or more, you will receive Part 2 of the video, plus BTS footage & a few professional photos from the shoot. If you haven't purchased Part 1, let me know and I will send you that as well.
The Impact
- This is the second time I've started a fundraiser for this specific purpose. The first fundraiser was quite successful. I raised $550 to cover the cost of one month of DMCA services (paid people to help me fight piracy by having my pirated videos removed).
- If we are able to raise $500 from this campaign, it will cover a portion of the cost of producing this part of the video.
- Your support is so important to me because piracy is devastating for a small business like mine, and when I work hard/ spend a lot of money to produce quality content only to have it devalued by piracy, I get very discouraged. It makes me not want to make videos anymore, and that's a sad thing because I love my job & I know my videos bring a lot of joy into people's lives.
Other Ways You Can Help
Some people just can't contribute, but that doesn't mean they can't help:
- Please retweet my tweets about the campaign
- PLEASE don't participate in piracy of any kind. Part of the reason I'm doing this campaign is to bring an awareness of the effects of piracy on any industry, not just my industry & not just my small business. Please help all of us by refusing to watch, download, upload, or tweet links to pirated content.
- I know not everyone is rich & maybe you can't afford to pay for as much content as you're used to watching. Many of us have free pages on some sites where we post short videos or even full-length videos. I too have profiles like that. If you enjoy the content, then please contribute eventually by spending even a few dollars in one of my stores.
- If you can't afford to pay for content at all, please take a moment to realize the effect that YOU have on me, other producers & models, and the industry as a whole when you watch stolen content. Pirates ONLY pirate content when there are people who will watch it. If everyone stopped watching, they WOULD stop pirating. Be the change you want to see & help save the industry.
