Tell
me about the project?
We need local heroes (writers,
illustrators and fans) to unite and use their powers (love) for comics and memorabilia
to fund and launch Leamington’s first Comic Con.
Harnessing superhuman support of
a community, we’ve aspirations to one day transform this humble starter project
into a permanent Hulk-sized fixture.
Together we can bring something epic
to Leamington!
Why
is it important and who are you?
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s
a plan to launch Leamington Spa’s first Comic Con!
Let’s face it, this project isn’t as important as World peace, but what comic enthusiast
wouldn’t want to set up the first ever comic con in their home town?
I’m just a local lad and
Transformers nerd with a pipedream, but by using the muscle of like-minded fans
I hope to fund a Leamington legend, well its first Comic Con at least.

We’re not promising the Earth, they’ll
be no large corporate sponsors.
We plan to deliver a small,
but perfectly formed, intimate affair at a quirky venue where fans can engage
with local and national comic writers, illustrators and traders.
What
do you need and how can I help?
We don’t need Stark-sized
funding, just oodles of small but super important donations, goodwill and the clout
of word of mouth from enthusiasts to bring you a mighty offering.
This project will gratefully accept
all donations however great or small, and in return for your generosity we have
some great perks up for grabs.
We’re asking for just £1,500 to
fund:
-
Leamington's first comic con
- Venue hire, furniture
- Q&A panel of writers and illustrators
- Super hero/villain photo booth
- 501st UK Garrison Star Wars Legion
- Goodie bag for first 100 visitors
- Live event podcasting
- Promotional material
100% of profits will be used to grow future Leamington Comic Cons.
However, we don’t just need
financial backing, spreading the word is just as important. Please follow, like and share our social media pages:

What
if you don’t hit your target?
If we don’t raise the full £1,500 all donations
will be refunded.
