MY OFF BROADWAY DEBUT!
Last year I adapted my second novel,
Zoë, into a musical. Since November of 2014, I have been performing the musical for small audiences at the homes of friends and family, at art galleries and even on the streets of New York City. Through these performances I have been receiving a wonderful reception from the public.
After applying to a number of festivals, I received an invitation from the biggest solo festival in the world - The United Solo Theatre Festival.
I will make my stage debut at the acclaimed Off Broadway venue - Theatre Row - on 42nd Street and I will fill that space with glorious music.

Meet the Author
Since June of 2012, I have been marketing my books on the streets of New York City. A videographer I met, Kirven Blount, made a video documentary of my endeavors.
Although I have managed to keep the cost of production minimal, there are a number of fees and expenses.
-
Festival Registration fee - $795
-
Advertisement - $800
-
Costumes and set - $200
-
Service fees for assistance - $700
-
Misc expenses - $500
Total - $2995
I have a list of gifts that I will provide ranging from my heartfelt thanks, to discounts on my books, to signed copies of my books and even private performances of the musical.
What this means to me
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! The support you provide will make all the difference in the world. I have been writing most of my life, laboring to refine my craft, broadening my experiences and distilling my ideas and impressions of life into carefully composed books. Without any success contacting anyone in the publishing industry, I decided to take my works directly to the public and have been reciting my poetry and reading my novels out in the streets.
Through my marketing I have gained some amazing responses. Not only have people written numerous reviews for my books on Amazon and Goodreads, someone in France is translating my novella, Zoë, into French as she pursues her PhD. Also, I regularly receive heartwarming messages from all over the world on my social media sites.
This musical will provide the means to share more of my love for literature with the public.
Other Ways You Can Help
I realize that everyone may not be able to provide financial support. You can still help though. Please tell others about the performance and my fund raising campaign. I also have a number of videos and articles that can be found on my website for your enjoyment- www.garrettrobinson.us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Simply devoting your time and attention to view this announcement means a lot to me.
This musical is going to change the world!
