Summary
Circumstances conspire to confront a young man with the loss of innocence and the need to take decisions for which he does not yet feel prepared. This is a period fiction drama set in 1913 against the approaching storm that is the First World War.
Matthew was inspired to write this script as a consequence of the the refugee crisis in Europe, the deteriorating political climate with the accompanying rise of extremist elements and asking himself what might the future hold for his two young sons growing up in less certain times.
Matthew and I together are determined to bring this project to fruition, enter competitions and festivals and use the experience as inspiration for the next generation of photographers/film-makers who are our students.
Matthew's belief and passion in this story has been reflected in the script being shortlisted for the Screencaft Film Fund Award and support from Ravensbourne College research department.

What We Need
The majority of our team are working for free, for the experience and for their portfolio/CV. However we do have certain specific costs that we have to meet and I am breaking them down below.
![]()
The research department at Ravensbourne College are supporting us with some funding as well as access to equipment and facilities. Money that we raise by crowdfunding will all be spent on ensuring that Limit Of The Land is completed to the highest standard. Because it is a period drama shot on location props and wardrobe account for significant expenditure.
We have gone so far with this project already that even if we do not raise all of the money we seek this film will still be made.
