**UPDATE:
We were just informed that Lisa's CANCER HAS METASTASIZED and spread to her adrenal gland and lungs. It is difficult to know how much longer Lisa has to live. The doctors have given her a range of three to nine months, but no one really knows. So time is of the essence as is the need for everyone's generosity. This is what has led up to this campaign.
Background:
Lisa Wheeler was diagnosed May 24, 2011 with Stage One Small Cell Lung Cancer.
May 25, 2011, she was admitted to the hospital for:
- I.V. chemotherapy
- bone scan
- CT scans
- brain scan
Just in the last 9 months, she has undergone:
- 25 brain radiation treatments
- 36 chest radiation treatments
- 6-week long each chemo treatments
Lisa is currently w/out housing and has $300,000 dollars in hospital/doctor bills from her hospital stay. Her Medicaid wasn't effective until after she acquired this debt, thus making her responsible for all $300,000+ of these expenses. Unfortunately, she doesn't qualify for disability benefits because she has been self-employed for the last 7 years. Additionally there will be other expenses her family will have to absorb over the next three to nine months and thereafter.
-->>This is where you come in<<--
We can help lessen the burden on Lisa and her family just by giving a donation to this campaign. Also, as mentioned before, she needs approprioate housing. Any amount is greatly appreciated and every bit of help will go directly to Lisa & her family. The goal may seem low but that is to be assured that fees are lessened, leaving every dime to Lisa, so please give generously.
After your contributions, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD about this campaign. Whether thru your own social network or by word of mouth. Get out there and push for this woman. We want to help her as much as possible.
Thank you soooo much for your kindness!
