As missionaries we all eat, drink and sleep Preach My Gospel. It is our life. It is the guide for all we do during our full-time mission and our purpose in life for the entire mission. And we are fueled by a sacred calling from a prophet of God. When we finish our mission, it is as if our mission call has expired, and our purpose as a missionary is no longer our purpose as a returned missionary. Preach My Gospel tells us word for word what our purpose is. We are no longer expected to preach the Lord’s gospel full-time. We are released and our name tags come off. However, we are expected to live the Lord’s gospel full-time. How do we do that? Is there a manual for it? There isn't currently any book or manual to help with this and that's why I am creating it in a series of books, starting with Live Your Mission.

I recently conducted a survey of hundreds of returned missionaries (above graphic from actual survey) to find out what they were interested in learning more about after the mission. They also told us what they thought other recent RMs needed the most to see what they really think is important (not just for them, but for others). We asked them to tell us their greatest concerns. The results were so interesting. The number one request of what they thought was the most important thing to understand better after the mission (based on the quantitative and qualitative combined) was this:

“Finding My Personal Mission in Life.”

The number one concern from RMs? 

"How do I figure out what my next step in life is?"

"What is my purpose now?" 

"What should I do with my life?"

"How do I know what to do with my life now that I'm home?"
