- We are six Guatemalan students from Universidad Francisco Marroquin's Film School. For our final semester, we came abroad to Canada and are excited to be filming outside of the country.
- Loading Dock will be shot in Vancouver, Canada.
- We will begin our production at the beginning of November. Our plan is to have it edited and finished by January to be able to release it for Film Festivals by the spring.

Inés has grown up with a family with a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor. So when she read the script, she immediately connected to it. Sometimes this kind of sense of humor is used to cope with actual feelings. Instead of dwelling on the bad, it comes down to acknowledging it and making a joke out of it. This goes in hand with the main character’s perspective of the world. Just as we use humor in the real world to avoid painful subjects, this can also be a powerful tool in movies. Loading Dock will show a heavy theme, but with humor. Dark humor to be precise.

PERCY
An insensitive jerk, who usually speaks without thinking. This results in him insulting people all the time, but he is a nice guy overall.
Percy is a politically incorrect guy who has no filter to what he says. This, of course, gets him in trouble. Despite this attitude, Percy also has a surprisingly sensitive side to him.
GRANT
Grant is Percy's older co-worker who actually takes his job and life more seriously. Even though he is sometimes put off by Percy's sarcastic comments, he is a good partner to him as he noticeably always has his back.
What’s the money for?
$3,000 U.S dollars. The money we receive from this campaign will go to post-production, this includes sound mixing, editing, colorization and, musicalization.
By helping you will receive special goodies. No matter if you donate $5 or $100, you will receive a private link to watch ‘Loading Dock’ when it’s available. The more you donate, the more will be added to the package. This goes from downloadable posters, social media shoutouts, to a complete digital booklet with all the making of this exciting short film.
It would be ideal to reach our maximum goal, but we know some things in life are unpredictable. So if we don’t get all the money, we will still invest it in some areas of post-production. Especially those focusing in sound design and mixing.
