Long Island Lights is a half-hour comedic TV show about a group of misfits who come together to chase after celebrity in hopes of conquering Hollywood. They do so in the age of frenzied social media and viral videos where success seems one click away. They are dead set on making it big BUT they have no idea what they are doing.
It's about family and giving crazy a chance (both often go hand-in-hand).
The show follows a ‘stuck in the system’ office worker, who after a quarter life crisis, has an embarrassing video (involving his balls) that goes viral and turns him into a reluctant internet star. He then returns to his family home
in Long Island where he joins an amateur production company who believe they
are bound for Hollywood, but in reality couldn’t be further from it.

We have an incredible cast and crew that's been working on this project for close to three years now. We have filmed a lot of promotional footage and even filmed about 40% of our pilot episode. But we need IndieGoGo and your help to finish the rest of our Pilot episode!

Living just below
the shallow surface of social media is a strong undercurrent of relationships
and familial bonds forged through the wild and often crazy schemes cooked up
regularly by these misfits. Although they stumble every step of the way, the
important part is that they are living life, together as friends and family.
On a weekly basis, Long Island Lights messes up the most
routine productions. At one point, a commercial turns into a puppy mill operation
while in the next episode a frustrated Rick creates his own gay film festival
featuring his gay zombie apocalypse movie, ‘EAT’ only to place 8th
at his own festival. The crew finds themselves pitching MTV ½ to MTV, an idea
that all popular shows would be reenacted using midgets.
As
the series develops we find that sometimes a little crazy can lead to unexpected
success in the best of ways.

Risks & Challenges
You're a part of
this now, and it's important to us to respect that by keeping the lines
of communication open and honest along the way.Our greatest challenge is to achieve the highest quality of production
possible even with the limited resources we have available for this
project. To do justice to this story, we want to tell it in the most
creative, innovative way possible. Producing a film is difficult, however, we have spent the last three years working on
this project and we are determined to see it through to the end.
