Meet Micro Mount

Bike navigation with a phone just makes sense. And cycling computers can be a bit... Well, old school. So, we've created Micro Mount - another discreet mount from Loop to help you attach your phone securely to your bike when on your travels.

Loop make Cycling Accessories with a Difference. The Micro Mount is another incredible phone mount from Loop that's completely different to anything else currently on the market and still shares the same principals as our previous products -

Small, Lightweight & Strong

It’s Small, lightweight and strong, and doesn’t need you to change your phone case just to work. You can navigate the roads safely, knowing your phone is secure and you're on the right route.

When it's not in use, it simply blends into your bike - It’s our most discreet mount yet. Because we like to make accessories that actually look like they belong on a bike.

60 Seconds To Fit

It's super quick and easy to fit. Our favourite place to fit it, is in the fixed stem position. Simply remove your stembolt and cap, (& don’t worry, they're not holding your bike together). Then replace it with the Micro Mount and bolt it comes with, using the allen key also provided. It should take no more than 60 seconds.

Ride Safer On The Roads

Navigating on the go without a mount is just dangerous, and needing to stop to check the route is annoying and defeats the purpose of those handy navigation and training apps.

The Micro Mount takes it out of your hands, quite literally. Leaving you to concentrate safely on the road and ride.

Other Mounts Are Just, Ugly

There are mounts already on the market, but they often look cheap and more suited to a dashboard rather than a bike - And your bike deserve better! Or there are other options, but they need an expensive specific phone case just to work. Micro Mount is always ready, regardless what case you have, it takes a second to insert your phone and then you’re off.

Beware Of Copycats

We have been copied a lot, and very badly. We own the patent, so in most cases, we get them stopped. But be careful, If it's not an original from Loop, then don't expect the same build quality. Every copy we have seen, has been bigger, heavier and very poor quality in comparison.

We have patents and IP in multiple territories - particularly in China where we have had issues before.

Beware, copies of Micro Mount will happen too, and quickly, but these will not share our high quality we're known for or our customer service.

How Do I Fit It To my Bike?

This is our favourite place to fit it. As long as you have a Threadless stem (explained below) then you can permanently replace your stem bolt and cap with the Micro Mount, without the need for another accessory.

If you have a Quill Stem (explained below) or if you want to move the mount easily between bikes, then we have some accessory options that mean the mount is removable. You can find these options in the Accessories section further down the page.

But Is It For My Bike?

We understand there's a lot of different journeys, cyclists and bikes. So we wanted to expand our range to make sure that whatever phone or bike you have and wherever you're riding to, we have a mount that suits you and your bike.

Stems Explained -

If you have a Threadless stem, (shown on the left in the image). Then you'll be able to fit the mount in either the fixed or removable mode (removable mode requires an additional accessory). Most bikes since the late nineties have adopted the Threadless stem style, so you're likely to have a Threadless stem.

If you have an older Quill style stem (shown on the right in the image), then you will need the additional accessory (sold separately) to fit either to the bars or stem shaft in the removable mode. This is done using another mounting plate. The fixed mode is not possible with the older Quill style stem, which is one of the reasons why we've created the accessories.

The Phone Mount Reimagined

We are all about the details. From the precision in the sliding mechanism to the gentle tabs helping to secure your phone in place, it’s been meticulously thought over. You know a Loop product the second you have it in your hand, it feels, and is, a high quality engineered piece of design.

We understand that you might not need to use a mount every day, so just have a mount that sits discreetly until you need it, blending into the bike. A mount that is always ready to go when you are, without the need to even think about what phone case you have on at the time.

Micro, But Mighty

Don’t let its size deceive you, we've made the Micro Mount super strong. We put it through 200 hours of tests, including independent riders and vigorous factory stress and wear tests. It's engineered from lightweight metal, meaning it's built to last.

Will My Phone Fit?

The Micro Mount can fit pretty much any mainstream phone on the market, opening up to a whopping 83mm to grip your phone safely, even over tough terrain. It retains the Loop high end build quality and attention to detail.

With lots of different prototypes produced and tested, we've done our best to find the sweet spot between it fitting a variety of different phones sizes and ensuring it grips them all securely in place.

Colours -

They come in the same classic colours as most stems, Silver and Black. They have a high quality lasting finish - Simple but effective.

What's In The Box?

This is everything you'll need to fit it in the fixed stem position on a Threadless Stem.

Accessories

We've made some handy accessories to give you some mounting options. Almost whatever setup you have, whether a Threadless stem or not, we should have an option that works for you.

If you want to mount it to the stem position, in either the fixed or removable mode, you’ll just need to make sure you have a Threadless stem, as shown earlier. Most bikes since the late nineties have adopted the Threadless stem, so it's likely you'll have one. If not, you'll most certainly need the Removable Kit (O-ring).

There are some setups that unfortunately just won't work. But this is very rare, we've illustrated below where issues may happen.

Timeline

With three Crowdfunding projects under our belt, we've learnt a thing or two about timings. We have already progressed through our timeline to the point where we're ready to start the tooling at the beginning of the campaign.

This gives us a huge head start on things and with the warehouses already in place in China, US, Europe and UK, it means the hard work is already underway. All we need now is this final support from you.

Shipping

We have kept shipping charges to the absolute minimum, while offering the high level of product and customer service we've come to be known for. These costs will depend on the order volume - as order counts increase, overall shipping costs per order will decrease.

Cost -

You will be charged shipping after the campaign - but to give you some guidance - we estimate shipping to the USA for single packs will be $6 and double packs $9, with small incremental increases for 5 & 10 packs.

To EU, UK, Canadian, Switzerland, Korea, Norway, China, Israel and New Zealand we estimate single packs are $8 and double packs around $10-12

Japan, Israel are a few dollars more than the above prices.

There are a few very expensive countries to ship to - eg Colombia and Reunion Island.

If you are unhappy with shipping rates at the time you receive our confirmation email you will have an opportunity to cancel.

What the shipping cost covers -

Our shipping charge covers the cost of getting your mount from the manufacturer in the Far East, to you wherever you are based in the world. These costs are continuously changing, so we have to factor this in. Unfortunately, this is more expensive than ordering from an online retailer in your local country, just due to the sheer distance it will travel.

We will ship and not airfreight our products to the Warehouses in different territories, to help keep our environmental impact as low as we can. With warehouses set up in China, US, UK and Europe, it then means delivery time from these locations will be a lot quicker.

Loop & Our Journey So Far

When cycling exploded in popularity during the 2020 lockdown, we knew we wanted to use our 20+ years of industrial design experience to make beautiful, sleek and practical products to help this new wave of cyclists get around.

We're immensely proud of Loop's success. We wanted to raise $30,000 for our original mount, but we raised over $1M in Crowdfunding. We continued the success with more incredible support for the Loop Mount Twist. We feel very lucky to have been adopted by the crowdfunding community.
