Introducing Loop.

We love exploring on our bikes and smartphones let us do it quicker and easier than ever.  But all of the phone holders out there are cheap and bulky plastic holders or need special cases just to work.

In 2020 we created the original Loop Mount. A discreet phone mount to help you navigate and use apps safely but doesn’t compromise the look of your beloved bike. Since then, we’ve been sketching, riding and testing. And now we're back, with the Loop Mount Twist.

 

We listened to your feedback, and now you can use all your favourite phone navigation and training apps in either portrait or landscape mode. We’ve re-engineered the product, so, whatever phone or bike you use, across any route and even over the most challenging terrain, your handset will be secure, allowing you to focus safely on the journey.

 

 

So, What's The Problem? 

We’re all guilty of using our phones en route to navigate, even though we know it's dangerous. Current phone holders on the market are ugly or need special cases just to work.

At Loop, we’re cyclists first and foremost, which is why we designed a product that actually looked like it belonged on a bike.   

 

 

Any Phone, Any Bike, Any Journey.

We wanted to make Loop Mount Twist for everyone, whatever their journey or setup.  It works with any mainstream smartphone, bike or bars.  There are a few exceptions, for things like aerobars and military style phone cases.

We designed Loop for every type of journey from road or dutch bikes to bumpy journeys on a gravel bike.  But we don't recommend it for mountain biking, doing jumps or BMX.

 

 

Portrait Mode Is Now Built In.

The feedback we've had most, is, "if only it worked in portrait mode". So, we listened, tested, and created the twist feature. So, whether using google maps, Strava, or any other navigation on your smartphone, the portrait or landscape choice is yours. 

 

3KG Of Grip. 

It’s not just your bike that’s important to us, your phone is too. So, Loop Mount Twist secures it in place with 3kg’s of strong gripping force. Meaning the phone is safe, but not crushed. 

 

 

Built To Last A Lifetime.

This is not a plastic mount. We wanted to make a product that lasted a lifetime. So, we constructed Loop Mount Twist out of metal, using CNC technology, making it strong, whilst considering weight. Its versatility means that, if you change your bike, your Loop Mount Twist can move bikes with you. 

 

 

 

New Add-On Accessories.

**Please note - These Accessories are now available to purchase on completion of your order, at the Backerkit Survey stage. You will not be able to add any to your order at the Indiegogo checkout. 

We hated existing mounts on the market that required you to buy other products, just to make them work (did we mention that?). However, some bikes do have very unique features, so we’ve tried to accommodate this by making accessories to help Loop Mount Twist fit on the most obscure bikes and parts. These are add-on accessories and can be added to your shopping cart at the end.   

 

Our Universal Adapter has a quick release elastomer Strap to help fit stems, oversize bars, square formats or other unusual setups.   Depending on demand we may tweak the design to use o-rings instead of the elastomer strap shown here.  

 

Our Brompton Adapter is designed to fit a Brompton M-type bars, where space is limited.   You can also use it on other type of Brompton bars, although you should also be able to mount on those bars in the usual way as well.  

Even More Secure.

We've improved and refined some of the detailing to ensure that along with the 3kg grip power, the phone sits securely with these new features.

Compatible With Even More Apps. 

There are many different apps to help you navigate from A to B and equal amounts to help you train and track your fitness and speed progress. With the ability to switch from portrait to landscape we've made sure you can choose how to use your apps to best suit your needs.

Since shipping the original Loop Mount in 2020,  We've been busy detailing our ideas for the Loop Mount Twist and speaking with our manufacturers throughout, ensuring we can deliver everything with the quality and timeframe we're known for.

We are significantly more advanced at this stage of the project than we were with the original Loop Mount. Tooling got underway at project kickoff of our Kickstarter campaign, giving us a huge head start. We're confident of shipping our mounts within a few weeks of the end of the campaign, keeping to the timeline stated below, meaning you'll be navigating on your bike using Loop Mount Twist in no time. 
Please note: Shipping is now November, this is due to power shortages in China causing unforseen manufacturing delays.

Using a trusted manufacturer who not only produced the original Loop Mount but also other projects we have been involved with, means that there is a clear understanding of our needs and expected attention to detail. This relationship we've developed over time speeds up the entire process and they are very much as meticulous as we are.

What's In The Box?

Phone Sizes.

Loop opens up to 85mm / 3 3/8" - that is enough for large smart phone in a case. 

 

Handlebar Sizes.

Loop is designed to work on all major handlebar sizes (22.2mm to 31.8mm - that's 7/8" to 1 1/4"). It can also be mounted on your stem if it's tubular (or approximately circular)

 

Rewards.

11 Working Days after placing your order, a Backerkit Survey will be sent to you via email for you to complete your purchase. At this point, you can make final adjustments to your order including choosing the colour of your mount(s).

Shipping.

**Please note, delivery is currently at 2-3 weeks from point of purchase on Indigogo. 

We’ve learnt a lot about shipping internationally since our last campaign - our shipping strategy is set out below.

 

What the shipping cost covers - 

Our shipping charge covers the cost of getting your mount from the manufacturer in the Far East, to you wherever you are based in the world. Unfortunately this is more expensive than ordering from an online retailer in your local country, just due to the sheer distance it will travel.

 

Import Costs

For the USA, we’ll either ship direct from our our Hong Kong fulfilment centre or import to a warehouse in the USA and send out from there. Either way import duty is not an issue.

For the EU & UK, we’ll import to locally-based fulfilment centres and distribute from there. Our EU warehouse is in Germany. We may charge a little extra on shipping to help cover the cost of importing.

For Canada and Australia, we plan to ship with duties pre-paid. This is dependant on the prepaid courier services being available at the time of sending so are not able to guarantee this.

For other countries we will endeavour to avoid unnecessary import duties for you but is not always possible.  We’d estimate on our last campaign this wasn’t an issue for over 99% of people.

International shipping, tax and import is very complex and changes all the time, so there is a chance we may have to change this strategy as we get closer to shipping.  

Japan & China

Unfortunately we’re not shipping to Japan or mainland China on this campaign due to licensing restrictions. If you try to order from these countries you’ll find the shipping costs are prohibitively high. Unfortunately this is the only simple way we can restrict these countries on the Indiegogo platform.  

About Us. 

When cycling exploded in popularity during the 2020 lockdown, we knew we wanted to use our industrial design experience to make beautiful, sleek and practical products for this new wave of cyclists.

We're immensely proud of Loop Mount's success. We wanted to raise $30,000 for our original mount, but we raised over $1M in crowdfunding. We really hope Loop Mount Twist will receive the same incredible support.
