Synopsis

How does one cope with the realization of how distant the expectation of life is to the reality of it?

Lucid is a surreal view of a day in the life of a young man and young woman. It looks at the simplicity of getting to know someone and how different the level of connection made can be if only you remain open to any possibility. Yet, not every one can live in this ideal world. Is it better to accept the present for what it is and settle that your waking world isn't what you intended? Or do you stay in that place of peace, no matter the cost? A lucid dream can be as dangerous as real life, even if you are the driving force.

Our Goal

  • The goal of the short film, Lucid, is to create a piece of work that allows one an escape from the everyday mundane for which we are inevitably consumed, even for just a short while.

Why We Need Your Help

  • The finished project will be no longer than 15 minutes in length for the submission of film festivals.

  • As far as equiptment is concerned we are currently in possession of the required materials for production. However, being financially capable to rent specialized equiptment for more creative and specific shots would be ideal.

  • With the help from you and your contribution we are hoping to be able to submit the final product to as many festivals as possible both locally and nationally. Also, it will assist the team in creating something we can be truly proud of without breaking the good ole fashioned piggy bank. Any form of help would be amazing, even if it is simply your emotional support!

Soon to follow are photos and bios of both cast and crew! Thank you so much for your interest in Lucid! Hopefully together we can make this great!
