MAFIA THE PARTY GAME is a multiplayer role-playing game centered on a battle between an informed minority and an uninformed majority. Players are secretly assigned roles in two distinct aspects: either as discreet members of the Mafia, who know each other; or Citizens who know only the number of Mafia among them. In the game's Night Phase the Mafia covertly operates to "murder" a Citizen. During the Day Phase, all surviving players debate the identities of the Mafia and vote to eliminate a suspect. Play continues until all of the Mafia members have been eliminated, or until the Mafia outnumbers the Citizens.

Features

Unlike the traditional way of playing Mafia, where players must be gathered in one room and where the game can easily get out of hand, players will be able play in organized (or optionally timed') games against each other all over the world without having to leave the comfort of their home.

Additionally, points accumulated during play can be used to obtain items for protection or to heighten the stakes. Need to put a hit on someone? Or hire a private investigator to unearth the truth about your suspicions? Earned points can be used in-game to acquire these professionals.

Why indiegogo?

Our full-time investment of time and money has produced 20% of the game. Additional resources are required to complete the production for a timely release by March 2014. Through this indiegogo project, you can help us raise money to produce an amazing and unforgettable cross-platform game.

How will the money be used?

Money raised will be used to meet these milestones:

- Goal of $25,000: develop the iPhone, iPod and iPad version of the game

- Goal of $50,000: extend the game for use on Andriod and Windows operated devices

- Goal of $100,000: extend the game for use on Blackberry, PC and Mac through Facebook
