Our mission is to bring magic to the Cuban people.
MagiCuba is a five-day, city-wide magic festival featuring some of the world's greatest magicians — including six shows at the Teatro Nacional de Cuba, eight nightclub shows across Havana, a special performance at the Cuban Circus, five full days of magic at our headquarters venue in Old Havana, and numerous other performances. In addition, we are hosting a conference for magicians at the famed Hotel Nacional that adds a special Welcome Reception and Welcome Kit, several days of exceptional MagiCuba Sessions (lectures, talks, interviews, etc.), Magic & Mojitos happy hours featuring extraordinary close-up magic, a unique "Magic & Culture" walking tour of "Habana Vieja", a "Magic, Rum & Cigar Dinner" and other surprises.
Approximately 40 Cuban and international magicians have confirmed appearances, including John Archer, Jorge Blass, Mike Caveney, Mac King, Eric Mead, Michael Weber and Asi Wind. (See magicuba.org for full details and follow on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MagiCuba/). This is a unique magic happening!
However, ticket sales and conference registrations will not cover our costs. Not by a long shot. We receive no money from the Cuban government and do not expect the event to generate any revenues. We have to pay all the expenses of bringing performers from around the world and across Cuba to Havana, as well as pay all costs for staff, production, marketing, logistics, etc. The producers will finance the festival to ensure MagiCuba will take place -- no matter what. However, we are relying on sponsors and the kindness of supporters such as yourself to help recover some of our costs so that we may consider running MagiCuba as an annual event. So anything you can contribute will be helpful and much appreciated -- including getting the word out by sharing our campaign with your friends and family.
Of course, the best way you can help is to join us in Havana (register at www.magicuba.org). But if you can't make it to MagiCuba, please help us to bring magic to the Cuban people by making a donation here. We'll show our appreciation by sending you some fantastic MagiCuba festival merchandise and your name will appear in the "Thank You" credits of the official MagiCuba documentary, which will be distributed online worldwide!
