My name is Kyle Hytonen, I'm an independent film-maker based out of Ontario, Canada. I have been a content partner on YouTube, worked various jobs within the film and video industry, written for film culture websites and in the last few years have put most of my efforts into film-making, my true passion.
I'm currently in pre-production on my next short film, 'Massacre At Femur Creek'. This film represents what I love in telling stories on the screen-it's a horror film, there is lots of blood, satire, and raw humor. The film tells the story of 3 friends (Kevin, Pat and Rory) embarking on
a camping trip to the mythical Femur Creek. They party down, get
radical 80's style and of course, around that time, a knife wielding maniac bent on blood
shed stumbles upon them. All hell, and a lot of bloody fun breaks loose from
there. This film is a love letter to great slasher films of the 1980's that I grew up watching, it is also a satire on social media and our reliance on technology; an obscure combination considering it's 1983 time frame setting. I feel this short will stand out among others of it's ilk.
By contributing to this campaign you will become an integral part of making this film a reality. I want every single person that contributes to this campaign feel appreciated for helping support this Canadian indie horror film. You will get credit and appreciation from myself and the other members of the production team for any of your contributions. I will provide tons of updates on the production of the film to those who contribute, making you feel very much part of the 'Femur Creek' team.

What We Need & What You Get
The campaign goal is set to raise $1100, yes this is a low budget film. Every penny will count towards making this a successful production and here is what it will pay for and what you get for contributing:
Audition/Rehearsal Space Rental (The Annex in Toronto)
Equipment Rental (Canon camera & lenses)
Gas and Transportation (Getting to remote locations for cast & crew)
Special Effects (Make-Up/Props)
Craft Services Food & Drinks (Cast & Crew get hungry)
Actors (5 Principals will be paid)
Post Production (Color Timing)
Film Festival Submissions (Average film fest submission is $10-$20 each)
Contingency (Just in case: Rain outs, Re-shoots, Nuclear Holocaust, etc)
A lot for a little? Yes, but this is a low budget no frills shoot and the money will NOT be wasted by any means necessary. I've seen a handful of low budget films ask for twice as much money and waste it just as easily. I understand that stretching every dollar is King among indie film-makers. This production will make use of the creed.
This is a Flexible Funded Campaign, so if we don't reach the campaign goal the funds will still be used in those capacities and the film will still be made, the rest will just be raised out of pocket.
BUT only YOU can help us reach the goal!

I'm hoping that 'Massacre At Femur Creek' will be the best film I have produced as a film-maker under the A Henry Krinkle Production banner.
I have made 4 short films previously, each having success in their own way. My most recent short film, 'Follow', a found footage horror shocker released September 2013, was very well received. It has screened at film festivals in both the US and Canada, winning a few awards. I am also happy to say that 'Follow' was recently picked up for distribution both online and broadcast by Filthy Fingernails Productions and will also be featured in the horror anthology TV series, "The Hillbilly Horror Show".
With the full success of this campaign, I'm confident that 'Massacre At Femur Creek' will make even more of a bloody splash.
