Shana Gagnon is a sought-after director/actor/writer/producer. She attended Western Michigan University on a Theatre Performance Scholarship. She then transferred to Cal State Northridge where she completed her Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Theatre and English.
Gagnon has been an independent filmmaker, acting coach, and theatre artist in Los Angeles for 15 years. After working with Shana, her clients have booked shows such as Criminal Minds, Intelligence, Grimm, and True Detective. Gagnon is best known for her short film SECRET, which swept the film festival circuit in over 20 film festivals taking home Grand Jury Prize Best Short Film, Best Drama Short, Best Cinematography, Best Actress, Most Inspirational Short, and Best Multi-Hyphenate Filmmaker to a name a few. Shana is thrilled to be back in her home-state of Michigan to film this true Detroit story.
Donna Foley Mabry is an international Best-Selling Author - best-known for Maude - the true story of her grandmother's life. Mabry is Gagnon's Aunt and has always encouraged her to pursue the arts, from a young age. They are thrilled to work together to turn Maude into a full-length feature film, where Donna will be making her screen debut.
Maude was #1 on Amazon in America, Canada, and Australia. It is printed in English, Russian, German, and Italian. It was on the wall-street journal best-seller list for 16 weeks in a row. It has 14,000 reviews on amazon.
Gagnon adapted Maude into a screenplay, she will be directing the film, co-producing and starring in the title role of Maude Foley.
