Introduction:

Our project is to produce the scientific calculator MetaCalc emerged from the realization that traditional calculators available in the market have not evolved alongside other electronic devices such as laptops and smartphones. They still rely on mechanical press buttons and small, non-touch-responsive screens, which do not adequately serve the purpose of accommodating students. Consequently, our students struggled with data input and obtaining quick, accurate answers. Thus, the idea for MetaCalc, a scientific calculator with a large touchscreen facilitating rapid data input and precise, swift responses, was conceived. It aims to keep pace with the speed of this era, where people expect quick results.

We observed that people are accustomed to carrying smartphones, which might have scientific calculator apps. However, smartphones are prohibited in entering exam halls due to their internet connectivity and data storage capabilities. Hence, we conceived MetaCalc an extremely fast scientific calculator, similar in size to a smartphone, but without internet connectivity, a camera, or data storage. Moreover, it features an advanced Exam Mode, qualifying it for use in examination halls, after the approval from educational ministries in different countries.

We believe MetaCalc will be the greatest innovation of this century, rapidly adopted by students and learners across all educational levels.

Funding Request:

We've developed a prototype with highly advanced Android programming, showcased in the attached promotional video. Now, we seek financial support to initiate actual hardware development and bring MetaCalc to its final form.

Risks and Challenges:

Over the past two years, we encountered software and manufacturing challenges in conceptualizing MetaCalc. However, with a specialized and qualified team, we finally achieved a prototype, which we consider a significant milestone. This prototype validates our project idea and fuels our pursuit of necessary funding for actual production, aiming to swiftly place MetaCalc in students' hands and their school bags. Our goal is to contribute a service to the world by simplifying life in this fast-evolving era.
