We offer MODU in kits of blocks, pegs & wheels - everything designed to interlock in a patented construction system and make up creations that trigger the physical activity & imagination of kids.

CURIOSITY KIT; Our smallest starter kit with 3 different blocks, some pegs and 4 caster wheels, contains 5+ creations and many years of active fun! The content of the Curiosity Kit will teach your kid how to balance, rock, jump, ride and more. 

EXPLORER KIT; This next-level kit offers at least 15 different creations, and a whole lot more for the creatives out there. A super fun starter kit that will help your kid learn the most fundamental motor skills through open-ended play. Includes all possible creations from the Curiosity Kit.

DREAMER KIT; Our flagship kit. Unleash your dreams and build 20+ unique creations in just one kit - all of which you can ride, climb or balance! The fun begins with the first steps of building and continues through years of active play. Includes all possible creations from our other kits.

Every kit comes with an inspiration guide with clear instructions on how to build numerous creations. The creations are communicated as very simple 'exploded' views that are easy for everyone to read and follow.

Also included are suggestions for versatile usages, motor skill benefits, storage options and upkeep inspiration. Of course, you don't have to follow the guide. In fact, we encourage open-ended play and are excited to learn about the awesome things you and your kids will do with MODU.

We know that toys can clash with a modern, minimalistic home and that is why our MODU blocks come in unobtrusive light grey. However, with the help from our awesome MODU community, we have chosen 4 playful colors for the connecting elements of MODU.

We are Theo & Jonathan; 2 design engineers from Denmark with a passion for creating simple solutions to complex problems. We have a proven track record of launching successful products and today we have the strongest team ever to help us bring MODU into the world.

We believe that MODU solves an important and very real problem. Tablets are taking over children's lives, and this is an issue because activity and gross motor stimulation form the foundation of both physical, linguistic and social learning. We dream of a future where kids develop and are enabled to inspire us through their natural imagination and open-ended, active play.
 

Fortunately, we are not alone in pursuing our play mission. MODU is supported, co-developed and endorsed by a number of Danish organisations:

With MODU kids will imagine, then build to get moving, imagine new things and so on. We call it a Play Loop and our toy caters for a natural flow in these steps. This is important since kids learn more and play better when they are bodily activated.

In a single toy, we supply a media to active play that stimulates all the natural needs a child has in play. The tangible and interactive aspect of MODU play is great for collaborative play for all ages, both among kids and adults. Everyone can be part of this Play Loop.
 

While delivering an open-ended play experience MODU also connects the home and the parents with the child in play. We believe that making a vehicle to get around the living room and getting new ideas because of shifted perspective will give the kids continuous yet diverse play experiences. Our 2 types of cool wheels will provide just that:

Wheels and casters - one's stable, the other's agile

The stumbling era is coming to an end - flip over your MODU wheels to add resistance if your toddler wanna go slow & safe.

Kids outgrow their toys - especially in their early years when fundamental motor skills are learned. We designed the MODU system to be truly multifunctional. This means that when your kid outgrows one creation, another one is easily built. MODU remains fun and challenging from just 6 months up to 6 years.. ..and beyond!

For young infants, MODU in its mere individual elements offers intriguing features, such as tumbling shapes, contrast colors and through-going holes. When reaching the toddler age, i.e. 1-3 years, simple creations like walkers, rockers and rides enable continous fun and stimulating play. After the age of 3, MODU becomes an endless source of inspiration for explorative and imaginative creations.
 

MODU covers the need for several gross motor stimulating toys in a single fun, imaginative and long-lasting product, while encouraging and supporting every stage of your kid's development.

Being super age-adaptable MODU is the epitome of sustainable toys – a toy with a long life cycle that stays fun & relevant for years. As we like to say: "A toy that helps you grow and grows with you."
 

The MODU blocks consist of tough EVA-foam approved for kids toys. All other parts are made from high-grade ABS plastic - a quality material known from LEGO. Health, safety and environmental impact are key to MODU, so it goes without saying that the parts are 100% phthalate- and BPA-free and have gone through the toughest tests for fumes and toxicity.

MODU is made strictly from high-end materials

Our design follows the tradition of Scandinavian toy design, where functionalism is pride of place, and we care deeply about our planet. We produce MODU through two carefully selected toy manufacturers. The facilities and working environment of both partners live up to Danish standards and they are continuously taking initiatives to reduce their environmental footprint.

Products backed and delivered inside the EU are covered with Danish VAT and are subject to no further costs. Please be advised that products shipped outside EU could be subject to local VAT and Taxes. You have to check up with your local regulations in order to get information about this.

We already have fully functional prototypes in play that are currently being tested among families, child physiotherapists and kindergardens all over - MODU holds up and they all love it!

Manufacturing a product is a fine art and always a complex process. That is why we have teamed up with manufacturers experienced in delivering quality products that are compliant with the strict European standards. Moreover, MODU is continuously being tested at both public and independent consumer labs specialized in toy safety. 

Our promise to you? Every backer will be treated like our first and everyone will receive a high quality product that they and their kids can enjoy for years. Our estimates for delivery are conservative because we'll take the time to ensure that the quality of MODU is perfect. And although we can’t promise a risk free start, we have done everything in our power to make sure that all the ‘building blocks’ we need to get your MODU kit to your doorstep are there.
