Actors
Emy Tibangin as Moira Kalinga![]()
Emy Tibangin is an aspiring screenwriter and currently works on a variety of television shows on MTV and ABC as a stand-in, body double, and actor. She holds a BA in Social/Cultural Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley, and enjoys computer programming on the side.
"Growing up, I couldn't connect with film — the characters’ narratives greatly differed from my reality. Additionally, the actors onscreen that somewhat resembled me in appearance or culture were difficult to watch because of the humiliating stereotypical characters they portrayed. As much as audiences are told that film is often fiction, the characters and imagery do still leave an imprint in the minds of viewers. The way women and people of color are depicted in the media affects how we are perceived and treated in real life. With its broad reach, film has the power to inspire its audiences of all ages, if only just to properly broadcast visuals of strong, multi-dimensional women and people of color. The archaic Hollywood industry has been dragging its feet, claiming that it’s simply providing what its audiences want. However, many of us are eager for change *now,* and are utilizing the democratizing effect of the Internet and crowdsourcing culture to take charge bit-by-bit and generate our own content. May this one story, among a sea of others, inspire more to come out and create their own."
Les Tibangin as Luke Kalinga
Les has been called a "Renaissance man" and a "jack-of-all-trades." After getting lucky in the stock market, he took up computer programming, started tinkering with open source microcontrollers, and dabbled with quadcopter drones. He is also part of a dance team, and loves dancing salsa, bachata, hip-hop, and few others.
"When we were kids, Emy and I used to scribble comics, which were basically storyboards, onto scraps of binder paper. We had plenty of laughs sharing stories full of inside jokes that poked fun at ourselves and other people. Often times, we wondered what it would be like to actually turn these comics into movies. By being part of this project, I'm finally scratching an itch I’ve wanted to scratch.
I look forward to working with the cast and crew – a group of individuals who I admire and respect for their creative energy, social consciousness, and desire to give a voice to those who have none. I have a belief that if I can accomplish a major goal on my own, then that goal isn’t big enough. I think this belief holds true for this project as well. We have a movie we want to make, but we can’t do it on our own, and so we need your help by being a financial donor. Thank you, and best wishes."
Alicia Brower as Isabella Winters
Alicia Brower grew up in Eugene, Oregon with the dreams of becoming a psychologist or an actress. At age 18, the decision was made and she packed up and drove off to LA, leaving college and a degree in psychology behind. However, living in LA these past 10 years has only heightened Alicia's interest in psychology and with the tumultuous world ever changing, the understanding of the human mind is a constant fascination to her. To play the movie's serial killer is not only a thrill for her, but an awesome opportunity to explore what it's like in the shoes of a psychopath.
Andy Podare as James
Andy Podare fell into acting as a kid when a scout found him in the supermarket. He finished high school early and ended up at Stella Adler in Los Angeles at the age of 18. Shortly after his first year, his father passed away from lung cancer.
"It took me out of the game. I got lost in my head and my emotions, and I back tracked heavily. I was working for a hospital at the time, and I was losing my mind. I had to get back into acting. I felt out of place."
He has been in countless projects as an extra and has booked a few small gigs.
"A character like James is a little treasure we actors look for. My father encouraged me to follow my dream. This role is for him."
Leslie Nadine Cortes as Katy
Leslie is from Surprise, Arizona. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Public Policy. She has lived in Los Angeles for over 2 years.
"I was always interested in acting, but I really fell in love with it my senior year of college. While I was busy making other plans, acting chose me. "
Austin Hanner as David Aspen
Austin Hanner is an actor and aspiring screenwriter/filmmaker. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2010 with a BA in Theatre. Soon after graduation, he moved to Los Angeles where he has been acting in various projects ever since.
"I'm very much looking forward to working with such a diverse group of talented people on this project. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of an exciting story that Chelsea has worked so hard on and poured her heart in to. It's not easy to take on all of these tasks and utilize all of your resources to get a film made, and she's doing it! That's more than a lot of us can say."
Matthew Wayne Roberts as Hal
Matthew Wayne Roberts of Clinton, IL has been acting since birth. He was born in November, and was playing Baby Jesus by that Christmas Eve. After attending Southern Illinois University as a student of Creative Writing, Film, and Theatrical Performance, he packed up and made way to the Land of Smoke & Mirrors in 2010.

Stephanie Ritter as Cop 1
Stephanie Ritter moved to Los Angeles from a ridiculously small town in central Florida in 2011 to be closer to the fictional cities on the television shows she grew up watching. She’s been performing and writing for years, and moved out to Los Angeles to pursue sketch comedy and television writing. In her off time, she moonlights as a cat whisperer.
Kalyn Rivers as Cop 2
A classically trained actress, Kalyn has played roles from Shakespeare to zombie killers. Hailing from the great city of Chicago, Kalyn currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. She holds a B.F.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Most recently Kalyn can be seen in Odell Beckham Jr's Head & Shoulder's commercial. You can also check her out on Youtube: OhKay.
Our goal is $15,000. While that is a very low budget for a feature film, we are determined to make it work.
All of our cast and crew will be working under "pay deferred" contracts, which means none of us will be paid (not even for our days of work) unless our film makes a profit. However, if we make enough money from this campaign to pay for all of our necessities, any excess money will be used to pay our cast and crew for their hard work.
