Our Story
Jillian Coburn and her husband founded Mommy GoBag after discovering a need for having a stylish, military-grade bag for moms (and dads) on the go. After constantly traveling with her 30-year Army veteran husband, Lonnie, and their children, for the military, she came up with the Mommy GoBag solution while at an airport dealing with her youngest child coming down with motion sickness. She wanted to give other moms the ability to be ready for any situation and look stylish at the same time while traveling.
About The Founders Jillian and Lonnie Coburn
Coburn is an entrepreneur, inventor, writer, outdoorswoman, and mother of three who is passionately committed to supporting and elevating women who have nowhere to turn and living under the shadows of domestic violence. As a survivor, she assists women living with abuse by empowering and teaching them how to get out, heal and build a life they’ve always imagined.
She is also the co-owner of NOLA Prestige Electric, a women/minority based contracting company. She founded the apparel line, Reel Housewives of the Deep South, in 2014, producing one-of-a-kind American-made designs for Southern women who love the outdoors and choose “catfishing over catfighting!”
Lonnie Coburn joined the Army at age 17 and retired September, 19th 2020 as a Captain. He served several tours of duty in his long military career.
Lonnie Coburn is an Operations Manager and Master Electrician at Nola Prestige Electrical and works in the United States Army Reserve as a Commissioned Engineer Officer. He graduated with an MBA from Western International University, and with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations Management and Supervision.
Jillian and her husband Lonnie both live and work in Lago Vista, Texas with their three children.
