Short Summary
Hi, my name is Bradley Van Egeren. I am an eighth grader at DCS Montessori school in Castle Pines, Colorado. We are a very small school with only 32 students, and our teachers have offered us eighth graders an amazing experience. They have scheduled a trip to the real United Nations building in New York! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I do not want to miss. This is very important to me because I will never again get to go into the building and act as a delegate of the world. I will also meet other Montessori students from around the world! This is not only an educational opportunity, but a chance to socialize with people living on the opposite side of the world.
As you might have guessed, it is a very expensive trip from Colorado to New York. It will cost $1,500 to go on the trip, which I am afraid my family won't be able to afford if I do not get funding. If I get donated even close to this amount, I will be very grateful and will most likely still be able to go on the trip! I have also decided that if you donate $10.00 or more, you will get access to all the photos that I take at the real UN building in New York, or you can donate $20.00 or more and get to suggest what I talk about in my blog as long as it's related to my studies!
As a unique perk to go along with this campaign, every one will have access to my personal blog. I will do a daily blog talking about what I worked on concerning the Model UN during the day. In my blog I will also include insight and thoughts about the Model UN. I thought that this would be a unique way to show other schools the work it takes, as well as the unique experience. My daily blogs will eventually lead up to my 4 day long trip in New York, where I will also do blogs.
