UPDATE: Unfortunately the campaign wasn't a success. :( But don't worry, I will continue to develop the game, but it will take a lot of time.
Best regards,
Viktor

The beta version available on the Google Play Store and tried by thousands of players, presented my very first ideas and the game's bearing! This is the beginning of a long road, one I’m hoping to follow with your help.
I want to thank you for all your support so far, for the many heartening responses and constructive criticism. I’m committed to making Moonshades the best game I possibly can.

Judging from the reviews, private messages, and rate of downloads, I believe that Moonshades will engage with more than a narrow circle of gamers. I hope the game will prove entertaining to a wide audience, while exciting nostalgia for past dungeon crawlers.

"I am a wizardry and might & magic fan and this could be the best first person dungeon crawler i have ever played..."
"So, in the ninteys I played eye of the beholder for about two years and never completed it due to its size and complexity. I see the same level of quality and detail in this game. It's left me wanting more both my son and myself have been loving it although the spiders creeped him out..."
"After familiarizing yourself with the UI this is probably the best dungeon crawler I've played on mobile platforms, the interactivity with the dungeon is such a welcome feature. My only complaint is that there isn't more of it, can't wait for the full release!"

A once thriving kingdom, Harken is under siege by demons from another realm who appeared under the moon of Okrin, god of chaos and destruction—through portals of an unknown origin. The people of Harken tremble, rightly; those brave or foolish enough to stand in the demons’ path now lie lifeless on abandoned city streets. Any survivors are deep in hiding to the east, under the mountains of Greydawn, border to undiscovered lands.
Under a blood red sky, two wanderers arrive to repel the horde and close the portals. They guard a secret. The demons give them a wide berth.
Why? Find out in the complete game through gripping, rewarding gameplay.
Walk into combat; decode puzzles; gather legendary, ethereal items. After hard-fought victories, study enigmatic surroundings, searching for traces of magic. Discover the last fractions of deep riddles. Stumble into desperate fights with bone-chilling bosses. Follow NPCs towards thrilling discoveries in the heavy gloom, into huge caverns or to vast treasure.
You'll expand your characters however you want using experience points. Implant armour with miraculous gems or other ornaments—for wondrous effects if in the right constructions.
Moonshades will use a grid-based 3D movement, its world viewed from a first-person perspective with ninety-degree turns and place-to-place movement.

While working in a full-time job, I'm also an indie developer and gamer.
Making Moonshades is the culmination of a long-felt desire since I was a child without a computer or smartphone, who could hardly wait to get to ‘dungeon’ parties, armed with dice, paper, pens, and my own tales. When Eye of the Beholder and Wizardry appeared, I was completely enchanted.
I’ve longed to make a game in a mesmerising imaginary world with roots in those experiences. The beta meant diving head first into that world and I was thrilled to complete it in a relatively short time. Bringing the full game to life is a challenge, but I’m happy to start this adventure with you on Indiegogo.

I’m developing Moonshades by myself, working steadily on the new chapters in my free time—but I'm alone and, simply put, am in a race against time! I have some savings to help me produce the finished game, but these will not last long.
I’m on Indiegogo hoping to convince you to help me raise the funds needed to finish Moonshades, ensuring the highest possible quality. Capable graphic artists are expensive, as are animators, 3D modellers, concept artists, and programmers. I can get a certain distance on stock graphic packs, but these are not coherent in style or detail and are pricey if used for everything in the game. Instead, I’d like to find a ‘golden mean’ of more common assets and original work.
If I reach my goal here on Indiegogo with your help, I’d also like to be able to afford original music, sound effects, and advertising. The campaign will help make these a reality.

I will complete Moonshades whatever happens, but I’d love to be able to release the game sooner rather than at a date in an unforeseeable future, using only prefabricated assets.
I’m committed to posting all progress on Moonshades frequently on this page, so you can see where any donations are going. Thank you very much indeed for all your support. It’s very much appreciated.

If you’d consider sharing the link to my campaign here on Indiegogo, that would mean a great deal to me! I welcome your comments about Moonshades. Please feel free to contact me.
