MORPH CAFE USER INTERFACE

The Morph Cafe mobile app will launch first with Android. The user interface design has been documented and ready for a mobile programmer to start work. Here is a snapshot of how the mobile app will appear and function.

You can simply add a new photo into the workspace by selecting from your smart phone photo gallery. The image processing will go to work right away to extract the person or people from the original image.

Next pick one of the attractive background scenes available to you. These were provided to you when downloading Morph Cafe. More premium scenes will also be made available for an additional fee.

When your work of art is ready, simply buy a print. Your order and image are sent to the nearest Walgreen store for your convenience.  Ordering prints or commercial items has been made hassle free.

Share your morphed photo with your friends. Send the image through email or connect with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. They'll be impressed!

You can also obtain a copy of the image for your personal use. Upload into a digital picture frame, use as your profile picture on a social network, add to your photo gallery on your PC...

There is also a built-in help function with Morph Cafe. A quick start tour is provided to help get you running faster.

WHO AM I?

My name is Brian Adams. I'm a software engineer and entrepreneur. I have a long history of building software businesses.  I even have one successful software business running now - WebinarMax.

My technical specialty is image and video processing. With my last software business, I've learned how to manage images and video on an enterprise level and to effectively use Amazon Web Services.

My college education was in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. My post graduate work dealt with image processing and color analysis. These studies have directly aided the Morph Cafe project.

WHAT DO I NEED WITH THE PROJECT FUNDING?

I'll be using the project funding to hire a mobile programmer to complete the Android user interface.  I'll be overseeing this programming effort. I'm fluent in Android and Java programming, so I can step in for any issues that may arise. The user interface design is documented, so the programmer just needs to follow the guide. The mobile programming effort will start in January and complete in April. There will be 1-2 months of quality assurance and system testing before first beta release of the software.

This funding will help to free my time to focus on project management and to add the image processing to the mobile app. If I don't reach the funding goal, I'll still conduct the project and do the mobile programming myself. It will just extend the project and with fewer features.

Your contribution will help greatly to get this project launched as a mobile app. The funds will smooth the remaining programming effort and make the scheduled release a reality.

Please note that support for iPad and iPhone will follow in Q3 of 2013. This funding project only deals with the Android programming however.

NEW TO THE WORLD IMAGE PROCESSING

The image processing technology is the key to this mobile app. Most of the technology only exists in research papers found at universities. Total person extraction from an image has never been done in a hands-free automated fashion.

It's been around a year to get the image processing to work for this first use and application.  Now, I'm ready to go...  I have firsthand knowledge and ownership of the software, algorithms and intellectual property.

I'm anxious to put the image processing technology to its first use. Will you help to move this technology to reality? Just become a contributor...
