STORY
Theo is going through a crisis. He has nothing going for him, his girlfriend is dumping him, and he has a raging mosquito-borne disease. In order to take advantage of his contagiousness and salvage a sense of purpose in his life, Theo moonlights as the masked vigilante, Mosquito Man.
THE TEAM
David Jones is the Director and Co-Writer of Mosquito Man and is a junior film major at the University of Alabama. In his time at UA, the Tuscaloosa native has worked on several short films in roles such as Director of Photography, 1st Assistant Director, and Editor. David is also the Desk Editor in charge of Multimedia for The Crimson White. David spends most of his free time watching films of all sorts with his favorites being by The Coen Brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson, and The Safdie Brothers. Ever since the start first draft of the script, David has been highly excited and motivated to bring his vision to life in its best form possible.
Wilson Weirich is the Director of Photography and Co-Writer of Mosquito Man and is a junior film major at the University of Alabama. Wilson has extensive experience working on short films in his time at UA, particularly in the role of Director of Photography. He is also a Student Producer at the Center for Public Television. Wilson has been working with the core production team not only revising the script but also planning the visual look of the film, and is excited to get production underway.
Alex Cherry is the Producer of Mosquito Man and is a junior film major at the University of Alabama. Alex has experience working on short films in various crew positions, having served as Director, Producer, Assistant Director, and Director of Photography on a variety of projects. She is also a Student Producer at the Center for Public Television where she has worked on a wide array of client projects. Alex enjoys spending her free time at the movie theater (often seeing the same movie more than once!) and watching her favorite Marvel films. She is so excited to help bring this film to life, having already worked on several projects with David and Wilson in the past.
