The film industry is ever evolving for both the better and the worse. In a world of mediocrity, it is our belief you must strive to produce compelling, entertaining stories. The duty as a filmmaker to push for better and different. It is from this mindset the film; 'MR DOOM' came into being.
LOGLINE
Mr Doom explores life’s rejects living on the fringes of society. The undesirable, debauched and debunked. Heroes in their own postcode. Each living day to day, bar to bar and hustle to hustle. God-like with a pool cue in their hands but a total deserter in every other area of their lives. We follow an unlikely pair on a dangerous path to self destruction in a world of their own design. Both struggling to keep up a bygone lifestyle that revolves around a green felt table with six pockets and sixteen balls.
WHY INVEST IN THIS FILM?
A predominantly stand up comedian cast film, Mr Doom is a film that will entertain as well as touch you deeply. It's a dark stylish comedy with typical working class British sensibilities. We have cast standup comedians to play many of the roles, who will have you roaring with laughter. With no forced or contrived socio-political agenda, we cover many of life’s issues. Racism, alcoholism, substance abuse, poverty, prostitution, single parent families and mental health problems... All this is all wrapped up using the darkest shade of of irreverent comedy.
The charters we meet live tough lives on the fringes of society, making ends meet and dealing with many blights on a daily basis in the only way they know how. This film plants us in the middle of their lives and through the use of humour we manage to stomach their harsh reality and find empathy.
This is to be the first of many films to come, establishing a strong filmmaking style. The film will also help push the careers of some extremely talented and creative individuals into the feature film world.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We wanted to make sure that the production costs have been kept as low as possible to make sure we meet our goals. We were forced to start production for logistical reasons and have shoot 13 minutes of the film already. The film has some self-funding but not enough to complete production by May next year. We start shooting interior scenes this February and need to cover costs the following...

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE FINISH THE FILM?
Mr Doom goes to market for distribution. As an investor you get your name on the film and will be part of the Mr Doom team.
