An inspiring story of courage and compassion awaits you in “Murakaza neza! Team Heart” a feature length, independent documentary by Hayley Maree Jannesen.
Join us as we find out what “vacation” means this year for this group of clinicians from Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston as they volunteer for a project that will take them into the heart of Africa to care for patients suffering from fatal cases of Rheumatic Heart Disease.
In a country haunted by a violent and heartbreaking past we discover how the human spirit endures. There is a colliding of cultures as medical professionals from all over the world work together with the local Rwandan staff at King Faisal Hospital to save the lives of the lucky “chosen” ones. It’s all part of a grander plan to educate and develop a cardiac surgery program that will be long-term and the effects will be felt long after Team Heart have returned home.
This is a journey worth taking. Please help us by donating what you can so that we may document this incredible trip. Let us take you closer to the heart of matters, with your contribution we will travel with Team Heart to Rwanda and bring to you the hopes, the heartache, and the inspiration that is to be found whenever there is human spirit and the struggle for survival.
