Throughout the past decade, Music in Common (MiC) has served thousands of people in more than 200 communities across the globe, deepening understanding between people of diverse faiths and cultures in underserved regions and communities in conflict. Our focus on youth equips future generations with the skills they need to work and live together in partnership, even in the face of long and difficult odds.
MiC's impactful programs unite Jews, Muslims, and Christians; Israelis, Palestinians, Americans, and others face to face with collaborative music and multimedia projects. Through this experience participants discover their commonalities while recognizing their differences as something to embrace rather than something to fear.
Your support of our IndieGoGo campaign will keep these much needed programs in the U.S. and the Middle East alive and growing.

As the horrific accounts of Jihadism, anti-Semitism, and Islamophobia continue to circle through media outlets around the globe, it is evident that programs like ours are needed more than ever. At the center of this violence are young people bullied, bribed, and brainwashed to do the bidding of those who teach hate. Only with deepened understanding and empathy for our differences and our humanity can that hate dissipate. MiC programs have a proven track record for success in bringing youth of all walks to the table of peace:
- 94% of MiC program participants said Music in Common helped them develop skills for communicating and working with others
- 88% of MiC program participants said they learned things about the faiths and cultures of other program participants that they did not know beforehand and 75% said this experience changed their perceptions of people from those faiths and cultures
- 88% of MiC program participants said they had grown as a person from their experience in the program
- On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best, MiC programs received a cumulative score of 4.5 or higher from program participants
Simply by virtue of what we do, MiC faces challenges on a daily basis. Time and again, we have prevailed even in the face of the most trying of odds - including active conflict during programming - a testament of our commitment to our work.
