Muy Excited is an original episodic comedy web series about being brown and down in Austin, Texas. The show follows Andie, new to town on her 26th birthday, her wacky news anchor (and maybe part witch?) cousin, Vanessa (played by Vanessa Gonzalez), and her new friends Gabriel, Maggie, and Maggie's brother, Chris (played by Nickclette Izuegbu, Jesus Valles, and Devon Walker), as they navigate a very white Austin, Texas.
Over a series of eight episodes, the show not only broadens the mainstream narrative of what it means to be a young person of color in an urban city, it does so in a fast-paced, 30 Rock-esqe style that is as absurd as it is funny.
The project will film in fall 2017 in Austin, Texas.

Let's break it down, shall we?
- Saturday Night Live is in its 42nd year on air and they just hired their first Latina performer… Ugh.
- In Texas, April 2017 brought a vote to eliminate the Texas film incentives program, historically used to encourage major filmmaking in the state, altogether. Double ugh!
- According to the August 2017 LA Weekly, the USC’s “Inequality in 900 Popular Films” reported that “of the 100 top-grossing films of 2016, Latinos captured only 3.1% of big-screen roles. That's the lowest percentage since the study began in 2007…”
What we're trying to do here is make a dope series that, against all odds, gets in front of people all over the country and makes them LOL.
