After Jimmy’s grandfather encourages him to take the dog for a walk to overcome his malaise, Jimmy discovers his late father’s secret hideout in the woods – but the childhood clubhouse has become a haven for drug users, one of whom has overdosed. Jimmy’s overactive imagination brings the dead man to life, and they enjoy a brief and vibrant playtime until being interrupted by the curmudgeonly neighbors. When the argument with the Oglethorpes causes his new buddy to fall apart, Jimmy talks with the dog and comes to terms with his loss.
