You'll never miss the action because you don't have to spend precious time assembling, dissassembling and packing. Without delicate arms and blades to break, you can let the other guys worry about crashes and breakage. Nano Tornado's unique interior blades reduce the likelihood of damage when stowed. The ducts and framework act as packing material, keeping the blades safe when not in use.

This campaign is all about getting you your own Nano Tornado flyer. The research is done, the 3D printed prototypes are all test-flighted out, and we're ready to cut molds for plastic. The Nano-T is based around our own flight control computer and flight control software that are tuned up and ready to go. Support us in our development and you can get an awesome, super smooth plastic
injection molded Nano Tornado.
If we reach our stretch goals, we’ll add color options to the injected
plastics. For now, you can have any
color you want as long as it’s black.

The Nano Tornado was designed to accommodate a number of different cameras. We’ve built camera housings for both the Polaroid Cube camera and a live feed (5.8GHz) camera. The camera sits far enough forward that even with a wide angle panoramic view, you never see legs or blades in your video – unlike essentially every “open blade” drone on the market.

With the live feed camera, we offer the complete package with a 5.8GHz Tx and a 7” TFT Boscam screen / Rx for the FPV aficionado.

We would like to bring the Nano Tornado experience to as many people as possible and for that we need your support. The Nano Tornado team has been working on ducted fan flyers for several years, and the four rotor Nano-T concept since August 2014. We build end-to-end drone vehicles, from control computers and software to the fuselage and whole-package concept. The core development team has extensive experience from spacecraft and NASA-related projects over the last couple of decades, including working on missions to Mars and Venus.
We know from prior projects that slips can be significant, especially in manufacturing. We try very hard to mitigate these problems by doing this a little different from some crowd funded projects. First, we intentionally worked much deeper through the development cycle for Nano Tornado before releasing it on Indiegogo. Second, we have established a deeper and large team of engineers across the range of required disciplines required for Nano Tornado a year ago. Third, we have spread development risk over several different projects. Finally, we have developed deep relationships with our plastics, PCB, and motor vendors.
We have also tried to set realistic delivery deadlines. Getting very deep into the development cycle before launching this campaign is a big part of that, but there always remains the desire to set "success oriented schedules": If everything works great, we could ship sooner! While we want you to get your Nano Tornados as soon as possible, we know from our prior fabrication experiences that things will go wrong along the way. Quality is always the first thing to suffer in these cases. And while we are very confident we can deliver Nano Tornado by October, there are always unforeseen challenges or small changes that could cause delays. But be assured: we will keep you up to date on what's happening all along the way!

Purchasing Questions
How do I know my purchase went through?
You will receive a confirmation email within the first 24-36 hours after your purchase. Sometimes the orders take longer to process.
I haven't gotten my confirmation email yet, should I be worried?
We're getting to everyone's emails as quickly as we can, but it could take as long as 48 hours to hear from us. If it's been longer than that then something might be wrong. Not to worry, just email us at dc@polyhelo.com and we'll help get everything straightened out.
When will we ship?
We're expecting to ship to our backers in the beginning of October. We're confident that your Nano Tornado will get to you by then. If it looks as if we are going to get your Nano Tornado to you before or after October then we'll let you know.
Does shipping cost extra?
Shipping for the United States is free. International shipping is an extra $39 per kit.
How do I add international shipping to my purchase?
You can pay for shipping by purchasing the International Shipping Add-On perk.
I forgot to add my international shipping cost... what should I do?
Oops! No worries, you can go ahead and pay the shipping cost now. Make sure you are logged in with the same Indiegogo account you used to purchase your Nano Tornado. When the campaign ends we will make sure everything is as it should be. If you haven't added the shipping cost or if you paid too much by the end of the campaign we'll send you an email and get everything worked out.
Do you have a warranty?
Yes, we have a 60 day warranty that covers any manufacturing defects. If you ever have a problem with any part of your Nano Tornado just contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.
Can I return my Nano Tornado?
Unfortunately no, all of our sales here on Indiegogo are final. But, if you are having a problem or are unhappy with your Nano Tornado you can always contact us and we will try to work something out.
