WHO ARE WE AND WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

We’re UK Metallers Neonfly and we have been on one hell of an amazing journey these past 8 years. We’ve opened for some of rock’s biggest names (Alice Cooper, Dragonforce, Gamma Ray, Anvil, Magnum, etc.), toured throughout the UK and Europe, main-staged festivals, shot a raft of cool promo videos, signed record deals, and managed to release two terrifically well received albums. Over the course of 150 plus shows we’ve had the proud pleasure of meeting and entertaining a huge amount of people with our own distinctive brand of rock and metal. 

Personally and professionally we’ve faced huge challenges just to stay in the game, breakdowns, break-ups and bust ups. We’ve rocked, rolled and even been robbed! But we’re still here, just like YOU, the fans, music lovers and friends we’ve made across the world who’ve helped us stay the course and stay sane. You are the reason we keep going and YOU deserve some new music. We have spent a huge amount of effort in composing, rehearsing, demoing and crafting our new set of songs with accompanying artwork and photos. The new music whilst retaining a foothold in our classic roots has taken a leap into the world of contemporary rock and metal – an evolution the band are determined to embrace. We are excited about releasing this new music, which we feel marks a huge change in us as a band and how you, our audience, will perceive us. 

WHAT’S THE PLAN, HOW CAN I HELP AND WHAT DO I GET?

Over these eight years we’ve used all of our collective experience to grow hugely, both as a band AND in terms of how we approach the changing music industry we find ourselves in.  After having relatively happy experiences as a ‘signed’ band we have decided to take control of our own destiny. That means cutting out the middleman and going straight to YOU the fans, via crowd funding. By using this model, we can offer you a raft of rewards and experiences that will bring you closer to us and the creative process that makes us… US! By contributing and purchasing a cool reward you’ll know that you are helping us directly to create and record music we know you’ll enjoy without filling a bloated record execs pockets or paying a corporation’s bottom line AND you’ll get something amazing in return. We want YOU to play a significant part in creating what we hope will be your next favourite album, and maybe allow Neonfly to be a part of the soundtrack to your life.

We are entering Long Wave Studios in October to record a set of songs that represent a huge leap forward in terms of what we’ve released in the past. The album will be produced by Romesh Dodangoda whose work with Motorhead, Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For A Friend and most recently on Bring Me The Horizon’s #1 album ‘Amo’ speaks for itself and has made him one of the most exciting & in-demand producers in the world of heavy rock/metal. On ‘This World is Burning’, our new single, Romesh has already brilliantly crafted the first steps of Neonfly’s journey into the new sonic territory that will characterise ‘The Future, Tonight’. The album, will be released in 2020.

Neonfly return home to London after 4 years to destroy the Lounge in Camden on Saturday July 20th! Special guests: Ben Christo (Sisters of Mercy) and Alessio Garavello (A New Tomorrow, ex-Power Quest) will join Neonfly for a couple of songs. Support comes from London based melodic metal band Primitai! PLUS Aftershow party! (Club open until late).

Ticket info: You can purchase your tickets in advance on this page for only £10. No booking fees of hidden charges. This is a paperless event, no physical tickets will be issued. When you make your purchase, you'll receive a confirmation email from Indiegogo. Keep this email with you and on the night, come with your ID and say your name at the door. If you are buying tickets for someone else you can email us at neonfly@hotmail.co.uk to change the name, or tell the person you are buying for to say your name at the door.
