We are BJorn (BJ, Bear), Lauren and Harrison - proud graduates of Reve Academy! We are the creators of Chrystalis of Hope!

BJorn,19.  I love Anime and drawing comics. I enjoy clay sculpting and listening to music. I also love to explore and go on bike rides.

Lauren, 19. I love drawing, listening to music, animals (pugs) and bugs. I also love lightning and thunderstorms!

Harrison, 16. I love video games.

The Backstory

Our comic book follows Aiyanna Winoma (a teenage girl with Autism) who accidentally gets transported to an alien bug planet. She helps a young  alien-like butterfly to become protectors of Chrystala. They go on an adventure to recover a stolen light of the blossoming orb. While combating evil, they must navigate to overcome the obstacles of emotion.

Why Our Campaign is Important

We do not often see autistic characters in the media and when we do, they are often misrepresented. We are hoping to bridge the gap with a comic book character that shows an accurate description of autism and create better knowledge in how to help friends and family who have it.

What this Campaign will help us Achieve 

Representation across different types of disability

Knowledge that will help others that are unaware globally about what autism 'means'

We will also be able to share the word of Neurodiversity Novels at the local Minneapolis Metacon comic event.
