I am raising money to fund the making and selling and marketing of the "Never Alone" bracelet project.
My story...
I will offer only ONE product, but I'm hoping that it will be a sought after product for victims/survivors of bullies, child abuse, human trafficking, domestic violence, depression, etc. Basically anything that makes anyone (man/woman/child) feel like they are the ONLY ONE going through whatever they are going through at the moment, all they need to do is look at a never alone bracelet on their arm (or touch it in their pocket or wherever), and they will be reminded that they are NOT indeed alone at all. And hopefully this will comfort them and maybe even give them the courage to get out of that bad situation. Being a victim of abuse since I was five years old, and then unknowingly choosing abusive spouses, I know EXACTLY how it feels to think you are utterly alone and there is no hope for help or anything better than death, and NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO FEEL THAT WAY!!!!!
The money raised here will be used to pay for:
- Materials to make bracelets and t-shirts...etc.
- A domain name and website
- marketing
- patent on bracelet design
together we can break barriers 1 bracelet at a time!
Thank you for your contribution to fighting abuse of any kind.
The Impact
I know that when I was still in physically abusive marriage at age 17, I felt totally and completely alone in the world. Every time I was beat, I silently hoped that this time would be the time that I would die and not have to suffer anymore living in constant fear. If just one person would have reached out to me and secretly given me a "never alone bracelet",I would have been so relieved just knowing that someone else knew and wanted me to know I wasn't alone at all and that there was hope for a better life. I hope to get this message to anyone being abused in any way, shape or form. No one should have to feel like I did!
Risks & Challenges
The risks are that no one will like them or want to wear them because then maybe someone else will know that they are/have been bullied/abused and be ashamed. So I need to make sure when I make presentations at women's shelters and schools, etc. that I make it clear that this bracelet is meant to reassure them that there is at least one other person in the world that knows how they are feeling and that they aren't alone. Help is an option.
I have been there and made it out alive. I am living proof that life can be good.
